We launch from our boat, so the fact that it is easily inflatable and deflatable is a plus. When the kayaks were delivered we inflated the 330 and tried it out in a swimming pool. We found it to be very tippy and were concerned that we had made an error. It turned out to be perfect for our young grandchildren and they really enjoyed it. Since then, we've taken it out into the North Shore bays and have managed to get on and off the kayak from the swim platform without undue difficulty. When underway it is stable, extremely maneuverable and a lot of fun. I would not recommend it for more than one regular size adult. I think that it is great for young children, but for adults, I'd go with the 370.

The 330 is good for an adult and a child and excellent for a single person. It is cramped for two adults. We are 5'6" tall, so the 330 would be extremely cramped for taller people. The SE370 (which we also own) is much better for 2 adults. The 330 is easy to inflate and deflate and easy for one adult to carry. It steers well on flat water. We have not tried it on white water. Wind over a few MPH increases the difficulty of steering noticeably. The boat sits a bit high in the water and so present a broad flat surface that wind catches easily. The deluxe seats are excellent. They give good back and are by far the best inflatable seats we have tried. Our 6'2" son feels too high in the boat with the seat cushion inflated, so he deflates it. The supplied paddles are excellent. The foot pump is very good, but we recommend an electric pump because it is much quicker and it deflates the boat more easily.

I've taken my SE330 out alone/in tandem on a very calm river in a gentle breeze, and I've taken it out in tandem in a bay with a stiff breeze. Both were good experiences. Tracking seemed better in the bay (~1ft swells) than on the river. It can be a bit of a struggle to get up to speed and maneuver with two people. Boat does feel a bit cumbersome, and I don't think the fear of brushing against something sharp enough to puncture will ever go away completely. Drying the boat off after a trip is probably the most time-consuming part; deflation is fairly quick, and inflation takes 10min at absolute max, usually less.

Pros:

-storable

-stable, takes small swells well

Cons:

-setup and takedown can take some time. Prohibitive if you like being able to pop in and out of the water quickly

-fully close up all valves after deflating/before rolling up, or else you might get dents you don't notice until you're in the water and they leak
