We purchased two SE330 intended for solo use. We will return one and maybe keep one and here is why:

We want to upgrade from Intex Challenger 2 inflatable for durability and comfort. I found a nice pond in mid-January to test drive our new Sea Eagle. We found the set up easy, the material quality great, the seats are great for back support and a higher seat for comfort. The light weight and speed are great. Getting in and out of the water was easy and the floor strong enough to step on to support entry and exit......However, being rated for 500 pounds, with only one person it rides too high, so is tippy and would be scary in any kind of fast or rough water. The cockpit is very narrow because the sides are too big - they hold a lot of air and space but don't even touch the water. This is a 1-person boat. Period. we tried to sit two of us and no-way. There is no foot support and no way to jury-rig anything, and no way to change positions for long paddling comfort. This boat needs a redesign.

I absolutely love my Sea Eagle Kayak. Most of my kayak adventures are on lakes, reservoirs, and calmer waters but even on a windy day, my kayak was easy to manage. Because I usually pack up solo, having an inflatable kayak is the only way I could manage. I just throw it in the back of my car and I'm ready to go. Looking forward to many good seasons with my boat. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking into an easy, fun way to kayak.

Thanks to the Sea Eagle, we had an extra dose of fun in the summer. It was easy to inflate and assemble, and now that it's winter, it doesn't take up too much storage space.

I really wanted a Sea Eagle se330 and decided to buy one in June 2020. The delivery was on time, but, the box was only sealed with ordinary tape that had opened! Once we lay everything out we noticed that one of the valve covers were missing, so I emailed Sea Eagle but didn’t hear anything back. I left it a few weeks as they said they were busy but still didn’t hear anything so I filled out their form on their website for customer services. Long story short I still haven’t heard from them, I ended up buying a valve from Amazon!! We tried the Sea Eagle and it didn’t track straight, the skegs do not disconnect from the kayak so were bent. My husband made a cover to go over them to try and make them straight again. All in all I can honestly say I’m not enjoying it. We have two intec k1 challengers and they are so much better at tracking and manoeuvrability than the Sea Eagle. I wish I hadn’t bought it but I’m out of the return period now so I’ll have to live with it.
