I have been very pleased with the performance of my RazorLite 393rl kayak as it tracks really well and is very fast even in comparison to hard shell kayaks I've used. I found it to be fairly stable and easy to enter and exit. The kayak is relatively easy to set up and the inflation time is only about six minutes using the standard pump. However, I have been frustrated with the amount of strength needed to install the foot rest brackets. They should not need as much effort (and I have viewed the video for guidance). However, my biggest complaint is the effort required to fold the deflated kayak properly in order to get it back into the carry bag ( I have viewed the videos). It might be helpful if the bag was slightly larger. Overall, I am happy with my purchase as the RazorLite meet my need for an easy to transport kayak that performs at a high level.

After about a week of research into inflatable and foldable kayak options (we don't have a garage to store or trailer/roof rack to haul traditional hard-shell kayaks), we decided to order the RazorLite. We were looking for kayaks that were streamlined and paddled more like hard-shells, but also had the storage/transport advantages of inflatables. Oh yeah, and we didn't want to be inflating the boats for half an hour at the start of every trip. We've had the RazorLites for a whole season now and have done over a dozen trips, and we're very happy with the purchase! They do indeed handle like recreational hard-shelled kayaks with the skeg in, and after a few tries, it now takes us about 10 minutes to inflate and set-up the boats with our gear. So far, we've only paddled on smooth rivers with a couple a brisk spots, but I think they'd be fine on calm days in intercoastal waters or lakes. The shape of the kayak is more open like a canoe (which is great in the heat) so choppy water would likely accumulate inside.

The kayak is truly portable and can be handled by one person. As a 70 year old woman, I can lift it up to the tailgate of our pickup truck. I couldn't carry it very far though. My husband made me a card using PVC tubes and wheel barrow wheels which works quite well. There are several things I love about the kayak -- it's extremely stable and easy to get in and out of, it's streamlined and handles well, it's easy to set up and inflate using the hand pump. My husband purchased an inflatable fishing kayak elsewhere which is a contrast in that it's more like a puffy life raft and doesn't function well either as a fishing boat or a kayak. He can't keep up with me.

Ordering and delivery was quick. We liked the 180 day return policy. We were unable use the boat at the beginning of COVID 19, but knew we had plenty of time to test the boats. The boats have met our need for portability. We are impressed with how the boats track in calm and windy days. The battery inflater we bought is very convenient. The light paddles have made a big difference for us. We believe we made the right choice purchasing these boats.
