The kayak as a whole is excellent. Putting on/removing the foot rests is difficult and is worthy of a redesign. My biggest complaint is that my kayak came with two small holes, which I though was just a blemish. It was when I was first on the water that I realized the blemish contained a small hole. I patched it with the kit that was included -- but should not have had to patch a brand new kayak. I reached out to Sea Eagle right away -- and never heard back. That was disappointing.

I love how light and portable it is. Here in Michigan we have a lot of great lakes that have limited boat access. I also bought the the battery power air pump, that makes it really very easy to get into the water faster and easier.

Solid construction, very fast, lightweight, portable. Not the one you want if you mind a bit of tippiness (that’s what makes it fast), or in significant chop or wind. Only difficulty I have is with the foot braces, somewhat difficult to get show full review ▼ in and out, so I leave them in now.

Pros:

Sleek, fast, lightweight, solid, easy to transport in a small car trunk, sporty design

Cons:

It feels like it could tip over somewhat easily if I leaned too far in one direction and the seat is a bit uncomfortable after about 90 minutes. Neither is a huge deal but I've only been on calm lakes with it so far.
