Sea Eagle FSK16 Inflatable Fishing Boat Reviews

I am a veteran of owning several boats and have been a boater since I was a kid. Now my ability to handle and store a large boat is compromised by age, motivation and location. I was beginning to think my wife and I would not be able to fish from our own boat together anymore. Enter the FSK16. This boat will easily float us and all our gear giving us a stable platform to fish lakes and rivers. We can comfortably sit or stand without problems. Its weight is manageable between the two of us and I could move it alone if necessary. It will fit into the back of our SUV and is ready to fish in 30 minutes. We bought a small trailer for it so we can launch quickly and we store it in our garage semi-inflated during fishing season. We can take it with us anywhere since it folds into a large duffel bag. It is surprisingly well made, durable and tough. I consider the dedicated electric pump to be a no brainer. With a 100 Amp hour Lithium battery we can fish all day. It’s the most versatile fishing skiff ever!

I bought this boat because I live in an apartment complex and did not any place to store a regular boat. Before purchasing I did my research and liked this boat the best because of its size, the quality of the materials and durability. I ordered it on a Tuesday and it came a day earlier than promised. When it is deflated and enclosed in its carry bag, it stores easily in my basement. I do find that wheeling it around with a dolly is easier than using the carry bag. The last time I went fishing, two other fishermen in a regular boat drove past and said, "impressive set-up!" and did not realize it was an inflatable boat. I am so glad I purchased this boat and that it transports easily in my SUV. The only drawback is trying to stay in my fishing spot on the lake when wind gusts exceed 10 mph. even though I have two - 10 lb. anchors, one in the front and one in the back. Other than that, I recommend this boat highly.

Excellent quality and is a solid performing boat. We have caught many fish and had lots of adventures with the FishSkiff.

I am very happy with the purchase. I think this is a great option for traveling with a RV. I use a Torqeedo 1103 for propulsion.

Awesome boat. Stable and durable. I have it paired with an epropulsion 3hp electric motor and it is very nice to fish from. Really compact when disassembled for easy transport, even in a small car. I get a lot of comments about how cool it is.

I’ve only had it out a couple times but really like it. Very durable and easy to use. The compact design allows me to get it into a very small car. My only gripes are minor: the hardware for assembling the seats is marginal. I had to replace many of the wing nuts. Plus, the plastic end caps for the seat base extrusions keep falling out, so I used small screws to attach them.

It’s a fun boat that’s easy to set up. It’s easy and quick to get it set up for the water. It needs some improvements however. There are no webbing pockets to put stuff in. Also, the straps that hold the seat down aren’t very secure. So far the construction of the boat has help up well.

Its awesome. I have a trolling motor and the boat is so light, that its really fast. You can stand up on it no problem. I have two seats. I can't think of anything that is bad about it.

I was a bit wary of committing to an inflatable boat. After extensive research and reading reviews, I went ahead and made the purchase. The 16' Skiff arrived from the east coast within a week, very fast. I had an issue with the boat right out the gate, however, it was inconsequential being Sea Eagle's customer service is top notch, and they quickly rectified the issue. The high level of customer service and very rapid attention to resolving issues has shown me this company completely backs its high-quality boats. Rest assured you will get what you expect and what has been advertised. The boat...Awesome, it is everything they state on their website. I could not be happier with my purchase. This inflatable is amazing. It is hard to believe it is an inflatable, solid, rigid and a spacious deck to fish from. Unloading from car and set up takes me approximately 30 minutes. I have a 4 hp outboard on transom and an electric trolling motor on the bow. Gets me to fly fishing spots not accessible from shore.

2022 Year End Review: So, thought I would give a 2022 year end review of the FishSkiff16. My original review when I ordered and after I had taking it to the coast fishing is in the previous reviews. So, I have taken the FKS16 to the coast in April and October for a month each time. I pull a fifth wheel camper and folding and storage is the main reason for my purchase.The boat fished flawless with absolutely no complaints. Since we Camp right on the sound, putting the boat in and taking out was easy with the two wheel cart I purchased from Sea Eagle. I purchased a 6HP Mercury for the skiff and so far it’s worked perfect with the boat allowing us to go in as little as 6” of water as advertised. We fished the sound going out 4-5 miles. Fishing 5-6 hours very comfortably and never feeling unsafe even in choppy waters. Unfolding and folding was easy with my wife helping. (Storing in the rear seat of my Chevrolet 2500). Sea Eagle is a top notch company and actually cares about their products and customers.
