Great boat. Only 2 things I don't like about it. 1. No port and starboard carry handles. It only has handles on bow and stern. You can't pick up the inflated boat by yourself, also leaves nothing to grab to flip it over.. 2. Rolling the boat up has caused the glue to fail on the fin pocket.

I only used mine for about 2/3 of a season, simply because I waited too long to order for a full season. Ordering and delivery was easy, however I'm not sure what the county tax Sea Eagle charges is, as we have none on this type of boat. Assembly and set up are easy, and only take a few minutes. I did however leave mine inflated after the first few times, and kept it stored upside down on saw horses, and covered with a tarp. I transported mine on top of a Subaru Forested as well as a F150 with a camper shell, and it behaved well on both. I used it on flat and river water, with and without the skeg, and with the swivel fishing seat as well as a kayak seat. The boat behaves and tracks well for what it is intended for. The build quality is top notch, and had no issues from that standpoint. As far as customer service, I don't know, as I never had to use them. Would I recommend this boat ? If you love to fish, camp and explore from the water, and need extreme storage and stability, then yes I do.

The foot brace pins are a pain in the butt. Overall a awesome little craft. A little heavier than I anticipated.

1st day on the water review

The “needs modification/improvement”

Comes with six built in rod holders. I don’t like the positioning of the rod holders. Been spoiled with horizontal rod tubes in some of my other kayaks and will be making this modification

It’s slow, but it’s what I expected with pontoons that wide and big

The inflatable seat greatly benefits from an added lumbar support I added with 3ft long zip ties. In hind sight, I maybe would have purchased the nice seat upgrade; but happy with the seat modification

The good

Handles waves better than any kayak I’ve ever owned. Can see how it’s rated for class 4 rapids

Tracks well with an additional skeg (2 skegs total)

Tough as nails and very well built

Converting vertical rod holders to horizontal

2” rubber T connections—found in pvc section Hardware store. Ring clamps and Gorilla tape to secure

1.5” is too narrow

2” diameter is nice for spinning rods
