Hi

Ok well you know all the positives so let me focus on some constructive feedback.

The boat is great in terms of strength and durability but obviously that comes with extra weight and that means I keep mine inflated for the season and transport on the car roof. It is still light enough to load up easily. The problem is the sikeg. Firstly it cannot be straight. I have to do two strokes with the left arm for every one stroke with the right arm. Also the Skeg housing is simply not robust enough for any kind of grounding force with a lateral force. If you don’t land bow first and lift the stern and drag ashore stern first you will damage. Even parked on the beach the weight of the boat is a heavy load for this skeg. Perhaps a longer shallower skeg would be more durable with a longer socket length and lesser depth, but I appreciate that socket length is also tricky due to hull sheer.

Thank you for the review Richard.

The skeg is not designed to be dragged on ground. We do have other shallower skegs you may be interested in.

fun to use, bit of a challenge stowing away.

Finally, I got to use as I had intended. Little bit of a learning curve inflating, setting up and deflating the first time. Should be relatively easy the next time. One thing of note; if you are using the raised swivel seat, do not bother with installing the foot braces as your feet will not reach them. As I was fishing saltwater in a lagoon, I used the removable skeg. The kayak tracked remarkably well. Stability is a non concern. Exceeded my expectations. Worked like a charm!

Before, I was using a 12 foot sit on top kayak. When pulling a travel trailer, a truck rack was required. This set up is much easier.

I love the 350fx. And the support, although I haven’t needed to use it much, has been outstanding. I like being able to purchase parts here and there when I may need them. Sea Eagle has bee most supportive of any questions I may have. I made the right choice with the 350. Although I don’t do ANY whitewater at all, it’s comforting to know that I chose such a rugged product.
