Sea Eagle 350fx Inflatable Fishing Boat Reviews

Have had it out fishing 4 times. I have the basic version and the inflatable seat is better than expected. I put an inch of construction foam board under the seat just to boost the height. I did spring for the electric pump, and am grateful. It does the job in a fraction of the time, saving my arms and back for paddling. The boat is doing great and I haven’t been gentle with it. No tears or leaks. I have little difficulty paddling it around on 50+ acre lakes. Stability is excellent, though I do remain seated throughout. Handles fore and aft are solid. Plenty of D rings for lashing stuff down. Side mounted rings for attaching anchor trolley is a win. Two areas for improvement: The rod holders are unnecessary and do nothing more than cause the folded kayak to be several inches bulkier than need be. Second-the carry bag is too small, flimsy, and not easily carried. Scrap the rod holders, put the money into a better bag. Overall, very pleased with this easy to transport and store kayak.

Had a great summer fishing on Lake George with my inflatable kayak. The kayak was very stable in heavy waves from weather and boat traffic, even when hit from the side while anchored. The swivel seat rotates 360 degrees. I would suggest buying the dolly as it weighs 50 lbs. I also attached the wheels to the bow end and not the stern as the instructions said, so that the skeg would not drag on the ramp I had to pull it up to where I stored it. Also I intend to get a trolling motor next year so that I can travel further down the lake. My only complaint was that one of the inflation valves did not shut off when I removed the air pump and I had to get the cap on quickly. The other 3 worked perfectly.

So, where to begin. First off the boat is amazing! I had been looking a sea eagle for many years and finally got one as a college graduation present. I love to fish so this is a great platform for me. Was a bit skeptical of the durability of the boat with it being inflatable and all, but I am pleased to say that it has bounced over rocks, gravel, concrete, sand, and grass with not even a noticeable scratch! I have taken it out both in saltwater and freshwater and it is very capable. I will say that it is a bit difficult to manage in higher winds, but that is to be expected being that it is inflatable. Just the other day I loaded it up with camping gear and took it on a quick overnight trip and I was extremely happy with how everything went.

Was in the market for an inflatable kayak to fish with that was easy to transport. The swivel seat is a great addition but makes it more bulky. Only downside is that there is not a carrying backpack that comes with it and the extra one is very tight. Tight backpack and swivel seat essentially makes this not very easy to transport. My goal of hiking with this won’t be achieved but I can transport in my trunk and it’s great!
