Sea Eagle 12.6sr Inflatable Boat Reviews

Wind gust of 60 knots reported by bridge of lions operator while a boat bounced through the mooring field and collected our sea eagle and missing our boat by feet. As we watched the sailboat get caught in the corner of the bridge and the swelled lifted and crashed the boat into our poor sea eagle and the concrete. We knew we would need to buy another dinghy. When the storm let up, I used the paddle board to see what I could salvage.

The service is excellent. I'm taking it out for the first time this year. It sat for almost a year in my garage filled with air and stayed full. I strongly recommend Sea Eagle products.

Two photos added to my previous text only review. Photos were taken on a quiet day of Lake Ontario, waves at ~0.1-0.2 meters. A 0.5-1.0 meter wave on Lake Ontario is quite normal. My 12.6sr riding could be choppy but exciting on those days.

Very happy about the boat! Thrived in Lake Ontario even with 0.5-1 meter wave range. 15 hp honda mounted, which gives 1 person (me) riding at 30-35 kilometer/hr speed. I took friends and family on fun ride, 5 people (3 adults + 2 teens), easily show full review ▼ go ~25 kilo/hr with full throttle.

The SeaEagle staff is incredibly knowledgeable and timely in their support. The 12.6 inflatable is easy to put together. The only part that is a little tough is the plastic flooring.--- It took a few choice words! LOL. Pop your inflatable in the water, and maneuver waterways that a typical boat could not! ENJOY the waters!!

So, after a few weeks of rain and work conflicts I got to take our Sea Eagle 12.6sr out for the first time. Boy was I impressed! True, I had limited experience with only 2 other inflatables but right from the get go it was a blast. The SE is NOT just marketing hype. It is a solid, well made boat. It's not tippy even when standing up as I tried at the dock. I had the inflatable floor a little under inflated but it still felt solid and I could sense it absorbing ripples and small waves giving me a smooth ride. It's easy to get up on a plane and went a lot faster than I thought it would with a Tohatsu 6hp. The best feature is the external inflatable keel. Steering was crisp and precise whether planing or at low speeds. The other inflatables I tried had a tendency to wander and needed constant attention at the tiller to maneuver. In all I spent a solid 2 hours and traveled over five and a half miles, and didn't even drain the small internal tank. Not bad for my first time out. Can't wait to go again. Mark & Deb.

I bought this boat to launch off the beach, and it has served me well.

The boat was not difficult to prepare for use. The instructions are informative and easily followed, especially with the video available online. I trailer the boat, and store the boat on the trailer.
