We bought this boat over a year ago but the best time to sail it was during Covid lockdown in March /April when we were not allowed to. We ordered directly from Sea Eagle in the US and used Youshop USA (an NZ post service) to deliver it to show full review ▼ New Zealand.

We finally sailed the Kayak yesterday. My wife & I are used to sailing a hard kayak each. This was the first time we shared a single kayak which takes some getting used to. The kayak was easy to inflate, the de-luxe seats (we opted for the better ones) were comfortable. Overall an easier Kayak to transport without having to mess with roof bars (which change each time we change cars).

One slight criticism; the ports for pumping up the kayak are really high quality, but you should first attach the retainer loop so they do not get lost. Those retainer loops were hard to stretch and fit. An improvement would be to supply a truncated cone to help stretch the retainer into position.

This is our first inflatable kayak and wasn’t sure what to expect but it fulfilled what we hoped for, a easy and fast set up, well handling, durable water craft that seats two comfortably. (3 is too cramped).

We love our SeaEagle Kayak. It travels through the water with ease and tracks better than I thought it would. We feel safe as it's well built with a great deal of thought behind it.
