Once on the water, I absolutely love my Razorlite 393rl. It usually feels worth the effort required to set it up and break it down. As others write in their reviews, the foot pedals are the worst part of the design. I've lost some finger skin fighting with them. Once they're in, they are really sturdy but they are a PAIN to get in/out. I like the seat and the paddle (worth it to upgrade the paddle). It takes time, effort and energy for me to transport my boat and to clean my boat after a paddle because I live in NYC and I don't own a car or a yard. Sometimes requires extra schlepping. I bought a different bag on wheels with a handle to deal with the transport. For the cleaning/drying, I find it challenging to get the water out of the nooks and crannies, unless I have the time to sun dry the boat after paddling, which I often don't (I often took the boat out in the evening after work). Sometimes I had to drag my boat to a nearby park or open it up in my apartment after getting home to dry completely.

I am so thrilled to be a part of the Sea Eagle family of paddlers! My RazorLite 393RL is everything I could have hoped it would be. It’s so simple to just unfold and inflate. I’m literally on the water in minutes! I love the rigidity of the hull with it’s drop stitch construction. It’s speed, agility and handleability is so close to my 14’ hard shell touring kayak. The big plus, is when finished, all I have to do is deflate, fold up and throw it in the back of my truck / hatchback. No roof racks needed AND I never have to worry if someone is going to steel my kayak, since it’s safely locked up inside my vehicle. Well done Sea Eagle! I give the RazorLite a big Kayak Cliff thumbs up 👍- kayakcliff.com

Can I get more D-rings and adhesive?

I got the carbon fiber paddle. Very light but longer than I want. It is 240 cm. and I wanted 220 cm. Also a 4 part paddle would be better with the back pack.

I need to get used to turning again. The boat is long and narrow and has no rocker. I will practice edging next time out.

The boat arrived a few days ago. Been out twice so far getting it to fit. Yesterday a guy in a fat IK commented how fast I wa smoving and I felt I was taking it easy. Still getting used to the stability. Secondary stability seems good once I get over the fear of the initial stability.

The foot braces work well once I get them in place. First time I never did get the left on in. Second time I got it in but it was really hard. Seems like a system with a latch on one end would be a lot easier to use.

The instructions never say where to place the seat. If I line up the front of the seat with the D-rings it seems pretty close to right.

I noticed scraping of the fabric at the bow. I launched from a boat ramp and was careful not to run the hull up the concrete. I wonder if I can find some kind of hard guard to glue on and protect the fabric.

More D-rings would be good. I am thinking about some excursions and having a place to tie on dry bags and other gear would help.
