PF7 PackFish™ Inflatable Boat Reviews
Carl Peterson
Perfect boat to fish small lakes. Easy to set up and take down. I use my Pacfish often.

I love this little boat! I've had it out twice fishing for 4 hours each time. You can get into some really shallow backwater with show more... it. The inflatable seat is comfortable and it's easy to paddle around. I'm 5'7" and pretty heavy. Once you stretch your legs out, there's not much room for tackle boxes or other gear so the side storage pockets are very handy to have. The boat came with a leaky seat valve, but Sea Eagle replaced the faulty seat cushion. Now all is fine. The videos show an angler standing up in it while fishing, but it is just too wobbly for me trying to stand up. It fits (semi-deflated) in the back of my Rogue SUV and also fits nicely folded up in the included backpack. You can set it up in 5 minutes. The only complaint I could make is that the "flexible" hose for the pump is hard plastic and very difficult to twist on and off the valves or roll up. I am looking for a more rubbery flexible replacement. All in all 5 stars!

This boat is well made, it’s built with quality materials. I’m satisfied with the product. It is expensive, but worth the money.

Just what I needed. The hard bottom is so helpful. I can stand to cast. Love it. I’m 5’1 and fit fine. Can stock boat show more... for all day. Love it.

Great boat, comfortable and easy to maneuver. Best of all, it's seen a lot of fish.

I love this raft. I use different oars so I had to modify the oars locks. I would love it if you made a raft show more... that was lighter for backpacking. I use this raft for day backpacking trips but a bit heavy for long overnight trips. Still what its built for a great raft.

I took my packfish7 out to the rockies fishing this past summer for a couple months. It fits fine in the sidecar of my motorcycle. show more... Easy to set up, fun to use. I've reccomended it to many people

Very happy with my Sea eagle! Easy to deflate and reinflate for a quick trip to the river. Very durable!

At first I had a hard time moving the boat efficiently; but I had the blades of my oars on opposite sides of the boat show more... than they should be. Wider part of each blade should be on bottom, SeaEagle logo on top. I use this for trolling mostly, floating down the gentle river where I live for bass and pike. It tracks very well too. Rod holders work very well, and the canvas is excellent to protect the bladders from puncture. Very comfortable seat. Wasn't expecting that! I get alot of use out of the measuring scale on the sides too. The quality is incredible. This is not a true "backpacking" boat, as I was hoping, as it is fairly heavy and hard to carry for more than a half a mile or so, but it is perfect to keep in a car or truck. I wish SeaEagle made a motor mount for it! Made in the USA too. Good visibility. Comfortable enough to spend a whole day fishing. Splurge for the floor too. Worth the price difference. Best inflatable I ever owned or saw.

I love this thing. Extremely portable and durable. Definitely want a bigger model later on. But for now this one works great. Awesome for anyone show more... that wants to get around the lake but still stuck on a budget.

I'm an avid Kayak/SUP angler, getting out on the water about 100 times per year. I have a dedicated sit on top 11.5' kayak for show more... inshore and big water freshwater, a SeaEagle FishSUP 126 I use for long days on the water (trolling motor) or when I take a second person with me. Then I have my (1st generation) PF7 that I use for small water - around 50-60 acres or less. There's something about the PackFish just gets me so excited when I load it in the van - I almost feel like a little kid again playing with a new toy. But out on the water it's a serious machine. The comfort, stability and stealth is unparalleled in a package so portable. I get asked SO many times to talk about the raft and a couple folks have even said they're going right out to get one themselves after giving it a quick spin. Biggest tip I give to folks who try it is to paddle backwards like a rowboat - shift your mindset away from kayaking and you'll soon develop a rhythm and can keep a steady 2.5 mph pace. Get one, you will feel so alive!

I ordered two PackFish 7's for my sons who are into fishing Adirondack brook trout ponds. While they love the boats, they were disappointed with
show more...
the backpack bags that came with them. The straps are very narrow with no padding and there is no waist strap to take some of the weight off the shoulders. They are now looking into back pack frames that they can strap the Pack Fish 7 bags to. My overall experience with your company was great. The rafts came in a couple of days and customer follow up was terrific.

You guys are great, offer great products and stand by satisfaction for the customer. Previously bought an inflatable kayak for my wife, she tried it show more... but just wasn't right for her. Returned it with no hassle whatsoever. Have two Sea Eagle boats, a PackFish and an ST10. The PackFish siding separated and opened up to the bladder. You asked for a picture of the damage and replaced the PackFish, works great. I highly recommend SeaEagle to everyone who sees and asks about the boats. Thanks for a really good and fun product. This small boat is the best one I could call a real bargain. The Sea Eagle makes fishing easy and fun! I have a good show more... Aluminum 15 foot but it is tough to get to small places. Sea Eagle Gets me in and out to fish more opportunity!! A real bargain!! Easy to load in the SUV and Easy to fish and fish Safe!

I like my PackFish7 a lot. Perfect for my needs, which is fishing smaller lakes and rivers without much current. I bought the floorboard, and show more... recommend it to anyone who buys the PackFish7, even if you don't plan on standing up. It just makes it feel like a more stable platform. Putting stuff under your legs, small cooler, tackle box etc... just feels safer with the floor. Inflation is a breeze, as is deflation. Your website tutorial was very helpful in this regard although it's pretty intuitive. The orange storage compartments and bow and stern marking are a nice idea. Even when sitting low in the water the PackFish7 is easily spotted from other boats. Again, I wouldn't take my PackFish out on Lake Michigan where boat traffic would be a real hazard but as far as smaller lakes it's easily spotted by boats The only problem I have had is with the paddles. The black coating that serves as the grip (and the stopping point for the O-ring paddle lock) has rolled up like a pair of wet socks. Can't get it to unroll.

I got the boat as a gift from my son, Jason. We ordered it on a Thursday and received it the next day. Me and show more... my fishing buddy Foxy the dog, are very comfortable with it. I have posted pics and stuff about our trips on Fishbrain. Some of my friends on the app have gone on to your website and ordered some of your products. Very happy with the PackFish 7. It Fits in my car, is quickly inflated, ready to fish.

I have just returned from a camping/lake fishing trip in western Colorado. This was the first major trip with my PF7. The oars are a show more... good length for trolling, however they tend to slip through the oar locks beyond the black plastic sleeve. I fly fish, and the rod holders are not useful for fly rods. So, I attached a length of pvc pipe between the rod holders, creating a “shelf” for my fish finder to sit. This allowed me to extend my legs all the way to the end of the float. No more knocking knees while rowing. I enjoyed using this model. I have owned four other Sea Eagle products. Some women change purses to fit the occasion, I change floats.

Thank You very much !! I have been enjoying the PF7 and I am going to be using it this weekend in the white mountain show more... national forest at some remote trout ponds. I'll be fishing with my son and 2 grandsons and I will be sure to get some photos for your posting if you feel they're good enough. Everything came on time and in great shape. set up was a breeze. I'm 55 and had no trouble getting my boat and gear in and out of all fishing spots. Gene T

The Packfish 7 is an amazing fishing boat! It is very portable, compact, and is easy to set up anywhere! I have carried my Packfish show more... 7 and gear over 2 miles to a hidden lake, and I have taken it out in the ocean! It preforms amazingly well on all bodies of water! There is only one thing more impressive than the product, and that is the company behind the product! Sea Eagle stands behind their 3 year warranty, and 180 day refund policy without hesitation and without question! I had an issue with my Packfish 7, so I called Sea Eagle and without any hassle they happily stood by their refund policy! They offered to replace my Packfish 7 with a brand new one right away! I had been contemplating of upgrading to a bigger boat so I asked if I could pay the cost difference and upgrade to the 285 FPB! Sea Eagle agreed with no problem! I love the 285 FPB, but I would more than happily purchase another Packfish 7! It is just that AWESOME! Nothing can compare to the PF7 when it comes to portability! I LOVE ANY SEA EAGLE!

What a fantastic, value. Fantastic product! The boat stows easily in the storage of our Lance 1475 Camper. When we get to the campsite, I show more... inflate with the optional electric pump. This takes a little over a minute. Incredible convenience. The entire boat when inflated stows in the cargo area of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I don't have to deflate until we are ready to pack it away. This process takes about 4 - 5 minutes. I primarily fly fish. The maneuverability of this little titan is really what makes it so special. One flick of an oar, spins me in position, or a pull of both sends me to a new location. I am 6' about 240 pounds. I am amazed at how comfortable, and how many seating possibilities are available. I stretch out, and lay back or sit upright. I put one or both legs up on the hull. I have literally fished for 5 - 6 hours with no fatigue. The attached pockets/bags are really handy. I fill one with food and drink. Cup holder really works. I have the optional floor.

Love, love, love it! I get out in the middle of the Bay and feel perfectly secure. Easy to set up and take down in show more... just minutes. Fits in the back of my Prius with room to spare. I have rowed against strong tides with no problem. We have a Stealth Stalker 10 which we love but I can’t handle it alone so for those days when I want to go fishing by myself this is amazing. We just bought one for my husband so we can easily put them in the RV and when we don’t want to pull out the “Big boat”. Just watch out for Catfish!!

Boat excellent used in alaska on small ponds and lakes for northern pike graylings and rainbow fish. Boat is perfect. I give it 5 stars

Bought this for my Husband for his birthday last year ... he loves it plus easier for one person when I do not want to show more... go fishing. He caught a 36 inch Northern and a 36 inch Bass in this boat - both pulled him around the lake until he wore them out and managed to get them into the boat. We also have a Sea Eagle pontoon boat and a Sea Eagle kayak .... love all of them!
