Sea Eagle Reviews

I purchased my FishSkiff 16' back in July 2022. It was shipped directly to my home in Northern CA. It has been nothing but fun show more... using it each summer, and has held up extremely well. We frequently get asked about it while out on the local lakes, and paired with an electric trolling motor has been great for watching birds and other aquatic life w/out upsetting them. It's just the right size for 2 full adults and a full day's gear. I will say the factory seats are about the weakest part of the package, and we've swapped them out for aluminum picnic chairs bought from Costco. After more than an hour or so the factory chairs are quite uncomfortable. I recommend anyone considering the boat to buy. It's easy to store, use and put away after a day. Very happy with the purchase and would do so again!

We bought two EZLite10 kayaks for our villa in Turks & Caicos. We were looking for kayaks that could be enjoyed by the entire family; show more... these were great choices. They are the perfect size (other brands I considered were too long), lightweight, and high quality with full drop-stitch construction and welded seams. You can go as light or as hard as you like on the water. It is also easy to switch out the longer skeg for a shorter one since the salt water cove at our villa is shallow in some spots. They were also easy to transport from the US as checked luggage. We also have two paddle boards, and the EZLite10s are a great complement.

So far this boat works as expected, can be inflated in about 15 minutes, assembled in about half an hour depending on the number of show more... additional components. I wish it had more attachment points on the front side. Right now I am planning to glue on two more. Paddling in this kayak is doable, but the most pleasurable is having motor attached to it especially when going fishing. This kayak is a very good platform for fishing, especially with the front support frame mounted on. I have an electric Newport NT 300, which can propel this kayak up to 6-7 mph max. Overall I am very happy with it.

Very Versatile, very stable and light enough to carry. The fact you can mount a trolling motor to it, paddle like an SUP or paddle show more... like a kayak is so convenient. Well worth the investment. I purchased a tailgate extender and inflate it before I go. You won't be disappointed.

I love my Sea Eagle Paddleski 437ps! I purchased it to enable me to go out and fish when I'm traveling in my Class C show more... RV. it's perfect. I've used it in lakes, rivers, and Inshore Saltwater applications with a 5hp motor and I can honestly say it's a very capable platform. Its stable enough that I was able to stand on my Engle 25 while using a remote to operate my riptide terrova and sight fish on the flats in Florida. I've used it on windy days in rough seas. It's very safe. Once, a rogue wave came over the side and filled it to the top with water, it never felt unsafe, moments later, the water had drained out and the Paddleski kept right on with the task of brining me back to the marina safely. If I had to find a downside, it would have to be the fact that under rough water conditions... you are going to be wet, just plan on it. That being said, you can bet your life on it's ability to get you back home. Getting wet to me is a reasonable trade off for all this wonderful inflatable craft has going for it.

Love this EZLite 10’. Easy to set up, easy to move, fun to paddle and easy to store. The quality of this kayak is really show more... amazing, everything works as advertised, and it is as simple as that. I just need to use it more!!!!

Excellent kayak overall. Very stable, tracks well when sled is installed. Comfortably fits 2 adults. The only negative which is really not a negative but show more... something you should know is that this model is really big so you really need two people to launch and operate it.

This boat performs great I would highly recommend getting this

We absolutely Love 473rl !!! One we get in and settled, we’re off for a super great paddle. We live 3 minutes from Hermon Pond, show more... and love to be on the water in a matter of minutes. Unfortunately, my husband recently passed away so I may be looking at a smaller SeaEagle kayak for myself. I love ALL the SeaEagle products, the customer service is top notch and shipping was a breeze. Thank you for creating such a superb product.

This kayak is so fun and easy. I left it in my car all summer and fall, then after work I was able to zip show more... away to the nearest lake (30 minute drive), inflate my Seaeagle, and enjoy a peaceful evening. Also, it never tipped over or felt as if it would, and the rudder made directing precise. My little dog even came along.

The function, form and feel that Sea Eagle has managed to pack into this light and durable frame is nothing short of stunning. Fully and show more... smartly packed up, it practically fits into a standard backpack. Fully inflated it's so light and easily wielded you can grab it by the center deck strap and fling it over your shoulder without a care... walking it any distance necessary with ease to your launching site. Inflation time and burden as it compares to similar platforms is an afterthought. It cuts across the surface of the water like a hot knife through warm butter, despite the fact that the design is a compromise between stability and speed, they've somehow made it feel like it's as fast as a hull designed specifically for speed, even though you don't feel like you're going to tip over if you're not paying attention. I wouldn't take it out on whitewater, but if you're just cruising your way across a casual day float, it's hard to imagine a more practically and purposefully designed option.

I absolutely love my Sea Eagle 385fta. I purchased the fishing package with the swivel seat & 24 lb. thrust Watersnake electric motor. The kayak show more... hull is very strong and the build quality of the kayak is great. It's very stable and has lots of room for fishing with various gear. I travel to remote fishing locations with a truck camper so it's wonderful that I can fold this up to a relatively compact size and transport it inside my camper. My only negative is that the 24 lb. thrust electric motor is too small for choppy water. I subsequently upgraded to a Minn Kota 34 lb. thrust motor and couldn't be happier with the whole setup. If you need a portable fishing kayak I highly recommend the Sea Eagle 385fta.

The Sea Eagle 285FPB is just exactly what I needed for camping at various sites with lakes or ponds. It is easy to assemble and show more... tear down when done using it. I added a front mounted transom to allow use of an AutoBoat trolling motor. It allows GPS navigation and spot anchoring to fish. I love this set up and wouldn't trade it for anything!

2025 was my first season with the Fast Cat 14, we did about 8 trips. Plenty of room for two people with dive gear, or show more... 4 people for a sunset cruise. We always had questions at the dock and folks liked the way it was setup with all the Sea Eagle accessories. The boat gets up on plane with two adults at half throttle using the Honda 9.9HP and handles the open LI sound nicely. The seats are comfortable, the transom area has tie downs for a cooler so it doesn't take up space on deck. The Bimini top a must in the summer sun and can easily be folded down if it gets windy. We found the best way of getting in and out of the water is to have someone sit on the bow with their legs in the water then you can just swim right onto the boat (takes a little practice). The newer model has a fold down swim ladder. The cost of ownership is super low. The most gas I used being out all day and driving all around was 1.5 gallons. Winterizing and maintaining the outboard was under $100 in parts from Honda.

This was a bit of an impulse purchase, and I'm really glad I made it. We've started doing an annual canoeing trip with friends over show more... Memorial Day, but the challenge of storing and hauling a canoe was burdensome. I have an inflatable SUP that I'm really happy with, so I thought maybe I could find an inflatable canoe. Sure enough, after some searching around, I found the Sea Eagle TC16. It was well reviewed and there were some good you tube videos of it in action, so I decided to buy it. It's really well constructed and maneuvers well on the water. I'm really happy with the purchase, and look forward to many years of use and many adventures to come!

Love this boat. Firstly ordering it on line from Australia was no problems at all. It was an easy and straightforward process to select the show more... package, calculate the freight and pay online. I use it for fishing rivers, bays and close off shore reefs on calm days. Very stable and comfortable for 2 people to fish out of or easy to handle by myself. The main factors for me is the weight and how strong and tough it is. My gear tends to come in for some rough treatment over rocks, logs etc and the Fish Skiff has stood up well so far with no signs of damage. At around 40 kg’s rigged I can load it onto the roof rack of my truck easily by myself. I run a 6hp Suzuki and have rigged a trolling motor on the front and fitted the tackle rack/grab bar form my Bote paddleboard. It’s a very versatile and incredibly stable craft and very easy to customize with rod holders etc. Just as an aside I greatly appreciate your product updates, which is how I came to buy the Fish Skiff. Regards,Bob

I absolutely love my Sea eagle 420x it is easy to set up. It feels very safe. It's easy to pack, move and control on show more... the river. My only complaint would be that it is required to have a circuit breaker on the trolling motor but that was not included. So trying to find a circuit breaker then cut it into the line. Leaves me with very little confidence when I go out on the lake because it is now so fragile and ready to fail. If circuit breaker is required why did it not come with one?

This is my second Sea Eagle boat. I also own the 285fpb Frameless but I wanted a bigger boat so I could go fishing with show more... my son-in-law. Sea Eagle boats don't disappoint. They are well made and stable. The STS10 has plenty of room for two fisherman and is very comfortable with the swivel seats. It comfortably holds two adults, lunch cooler, tackle boxes, electric motor, and small battery. There are a few things that the prospective buyer should know. It's a heavy boat. The boat itself in its bag isn't too bad but once you inflate it, install the floor boards and seats it is heavy to carry to the water. I would suggest getting the wheel package that supports the STS10 to make it easier to transport. Sea Eagle advertises it as fitting in the trunk of your car but once you add the floorboards, seats, oars, and wheels it takes up a lot of room. I have a smaller SUV and with the rear seats folded down it fills the whole space. Good boat but I recommend getting the electric pump.

We haven’t got a chance to use it yet, but we are looking forward to it in 2026.

Overall a great little boat for lake and small river fishing. It is a little hard to setup and launch when you do not have show more... a helper. Loaded up with seats, gas motor, etc. it is a little heavy for one person to lift bow and move the boat around on the rear wheels. It would help to have some sort of additional wheel(s) that could be used at the bow when moving/launching the boat using the rear wheels. Also would help wo have a casting bar that could be mounted on middle of boat for use especially when fishing alone. Maybe that casting bar could fold down when not in use.

I have been very pleased! I was skeptical, having spent money on “portable” items before they weren’t all that. I have a pull behind RV show more... trailer and wanted something I take and could fish out of. Takes me about 30 minutes to assemble (I’m getting faster all the time) and 15 to disassemble. It is easy to fold up, and really does fold to 5’x2’x1.8’, which fits in my truck bed. The seats are stable. I put a 6 go motor on and it moves as fast as I want to go. I have a 9.9 I haven’t tried yet. It is very stable in smaller waves. I have used it to fish inshore coastal waters, and to float the James River for smallmouth. Can’t speak to longevity as I’ve had it less than a year

I have the Sea Eagle 420x and absolutely Love It. My wife and I have taken on a few trips this year and it has show more... overwhelmingly exceeded expectations! I expected that I would give sacrifice something regarding durabtility, maneuverability or stability, but that is far from the case. We are not experts by any means, but have used canoes and kayaks of many forms, and this has excelled in all cases. Great Job! I also have to add that when I had questions, or had to follow up on adding on to the unit, or getting additional paperwork, Customer Service was polite, and Fast. One of the best I have ever dealt with, Period!

I love it! Improvements to the design would include handles (like the ones in the front and back) in the middle so that it is show more... easier for 1 person to carry it.
