I absolutely love my Sea eagle 420x it is easy to set up. It feels very safe. It's easy to pack, move and control on the river. My only complaint would be that it is required to have a circuit breaker on the trolling motor but that was not included. So trying to find a circuit breaker then cut it into the line. Leaves me with very little confidence when I go out on the lake because it is now so fragile and ready to fail. If circuit breaker is required why did it not come with one?

I have the Sea Eagle 420x and absolutely Love It. My wife and I have taken on a few trips this year and it has overwhelmingly exceeded expectations! I expected that I would give sacrifice something regarding durabtility, maneuverability or stability, but that is far from the case. We are not experts by any means, but have used canoes and kayaks of many forms, and this has excelled in all cases. Great Job! I also have to add that when I had questions, or had to follow up on adding on to the unit, or getting additional paperwork, Customer Service was polite, and Fast. One of the best I have ever dealt with, Period!

After owning and using the 420X for a while it's proving to be a wise purchase. I can haul it with us on vacation without hassle and has given us a chance to experience new places. It still impresses me with the quality and ruggedness. I was worried about having a repair kit and pump with me at all times, and always do, but realized after a few trips I'll probably never have to make a field repair. Also, glad I went with the 420X as my wife and I like to have plenty of room to pack a cooler and gear.

Awesome product! Great experience ordering, receiving, and service. But I have to say, I was a bit skeptical on the stability and toughness, but I’d take this in class 4 without much worry, though I didn’t buy it for that. Great kayak all around!

Our Sea Eagle Kayak has been wonderful. We have used it on rivers and in two Great Lakes so far. It is not like other kayaks. It is so stable we use it as a swimming platform as well as a kayak. We bought it so we could easily take it on vacation rather than strapping hardsided kayaks to the top of our car. Our Sea Eagle is too long for super narrow fast steams so I will probably buy smaller one person Sea Eagles in the future for that. But for now, this boat is perfect for us.

We love our kayak. It's very sturdy and fits nicely in the trunk, and is big enough for us two grandparents and two elementary age grand daughters. We've learned - through a mistake - that the skeg is vitally important to navigation. With the skeg in place, navigation is a breeze.

Love the boat and how easy it is to set up and take down! I would like to have an extra rudder and key to hold it in. Also I think it needs to have a plug for the rudder slot to be able to keep mud and debris out of the slot that it slides into! We have had troubles getting it cleaned so the rudder slides all the way in

I upgraded from an old 370, which I loved, but this is a spectacular upgrade. Handles great, easy to set up, easy to pack, and easy to store. Very sturdy and durable. I highly recommend.

We are very happy with our purchase. We have taken it out on river excursions several times and also on Lake Huron at Drummond Island and it always performs great. The ease of hauling it is a huge plus for us. No need to strap anything on the roof, everything fits in the back. Highly recommend getting the electric pump from Sea Eagle, especially if you are taking out more than one craft. My Kids have one also and it makes life easier. The upgraded seats are very comfortable and are easily adjusted. We recommend the Sea Eagle brand to everyone we know. Can’t go wrong with this purchase!

Got our Kayak this weekend had FUN and was VERY RELAXING Can't wait to go out again in a couple of weeks we stayed close to the shore just to get the feel of the Kayak i tell you after 30 minutes first time out we started getting water into the Kayak i wanted to see if the Self Bailing Drain Valves worked was not worried because we were close to shore and Flat water come to find out a couple of the plugs were not tighten down so we stop and drained out the water and keep on going for other 2 hours. For our First Kayak VERY HAPPY with SEA EAGLE FELT VERY SAFE on the water.

We love our Sea Eagle 420x!!! My wife and I wanted to be more active while camping and were tired of just looking at the lakes and ponds at the campgrounds! We have sold at least 4 of them by allowing people try out our kayak . As soon as they see how sturdy it is and easy to use they are sold. It’s easy to set up use ,break down and store in a small footprint! Thank you for an amazing product and getting us out into the water exploring and fishing !

So far I love this Boat, haven’t used it as much as I would like to. I have been out on Lake Superior and Lake Michigan with it, handles really well. As for blowing it up I did get the electric pump and it is so easy, deflating and packing up is simple and the weight makes it easy to carry. I would highly recommend this product.

We use our 420x for mostly flat water kayaking. We wanted a bigger boat that could easily carry 2 adults, 2 dogs and gear. The 420x Explorer is a well made, tough and very stable kayak. Looking forward to many years of trouble free adventures.

This is my 2nd Sea eagle 420x. (Raccoons chewed my first). While living in Moab, UT, I took the 420x out on the Colorado river twice a month for years. Sometimes 3 person day trips, and 2 person kayak camping with no support craft. No problem putting a tent, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, full size (soft-sided) ice chest, small propane cook stove, first aid kid... It's a Cadillac. No problem standing up in the raft, it has been down class IV rapids in Westwater canyon. Now that I live in Nebraska, there is no whitewater, so I bought the row package this time. The only complaint I previously had was that it felt a bit slow...but I didn't buy it for speed, I bought it because of the room and 855lb. weight capacity. But once you put oars on a kayak...you'll be leaving a wake. On flatwater, I can row faster than hard shell kayaks can paddle. And I still have the option to increase weight capacity but lower my speed if I take it on a multi-day trip on a river when I move back to an area that has mountains.

Love it! My wife and I are not experienced yakkers, but we are having so much fun exploring beautiful Arizona lakes in this easy to transport easy to set up boat. We bought the pro carbon package with the lighter weight paddles and upgraded seats. With the electric air pump that was a promo item at the time of purchase, it takes less than 2 minutes to fill the each side chamber to 3psi, and a just a little longer to fill the amazing drop stitch floor to 10psi. Flat water only thus far, but we’re looking forward to kayak camping/fishing along the slow moving water of the Colorado River south of the Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Ferry.

From the very start of the process, you have been out standing. The kayak is wonderful, paddles great and with all our stuff and dog etc. It couldn’t be better! We take it with us RVing and really every where we go. We’ve paddled the Silver River meant times, Salt Springs, Crystal, Hunter Springs, Withlacoochee River and many lakes between here in central Florida to lake Story Galesburg, Ill. It always Gaines attention and lots of questions. Great product! We have a kayak group from our Church and another person has sold there kayak and bought a 300x. Loves it!

I absolutely love this boat! I own a plastic kayak but after buying the Sea Eagle I will never buy anything except an inflatable kayak again. And it will be a Sea Eagle. I did a lot of research before buying the 420X, and considering how I use it, there is nothing out there that even comes close. I use it on lakes and rivers and it will keep up with any paddle boat out there. It's not a speed demon, but it performs very well. I do use an electric pump to inflate, then finish it off with the high pressure hand pump. The first time I had it out was on a lake in central Kentucky. Stability is amazing! I actually stood up and used it like a paddle board. This summer my wife and I are going to take it on a 17 mile trip with class 2 and 3 rapids, this was the #1 reason I bought this kayak. This thing paddles great either solo or tandem. After paddling it this past year, I am 100% confident we will have the best kayaking experience of our lives. Paddles great solo or tandem. 5 stars for customer service!!!

Very stable and firm. Family has enjoyed this purchase including the family dog. We look forward to this summer’s fun! This more heavy so I think setting it up is best with two people. Deflation is very easy. Storing bag works great.

OK...I have used my Sea Eagle 420x since early March and can honestly say that I love it. My wife had no experience with kayaks and after getting out in the water she said she is hooked. I have taken this on some ROUGH water, not just the water itself, but over very shallow rocky steams where we dragged hard across rocks for hundreds of yards at times. Once we floated over an old concrete bridge pylon and it had rebar sticking straight up just under the surface where we couldn't see it before it was too late. It dragged clear across that old metal and while it made a pretty good surface scratch in the bottom of the kayak, it did not tear it. Cannot believe how tough this thing is. My wife was leery at first, but after seeing what this thing can handle, she is totally cool with it. The other thing I like is that there is space and it is not cramped. Finally, the portability, it is so dang compact for its size, fits in the back hatch of my Prius. Love my 420x, you will too!
