DO NOT BUY ONE!!! I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY ONE!! I've been kayak SCUBA diving since 1996 off some pretty rough seas from Big sur to the Mendocino coasts. I've NEVER been on a more UNSTABLE watercraft, and I've been on many. The design makes center of gravity way too high. I'm 6'1" 190lbs. It's designed 5ft 1” ballerina. Ruined my outing. I was on a calm lake looking to photo wildlife and after 15 mins of tooling around I put my camera back in van for fear of tipping. We went out for 4 hrs and I didn’t tip but I was constantly having to do micro-balancing adjustment to keep me upright. I would not take my camera out with it. NO FUN!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Our RazorLite kayak series is a performance kayak that is built with speed in mind. For activities like scuba diving we would recommend our Explorer Kayak series, which takes a much wider stance on the water and as a result, far more stable. You can also use the Explorer Kayak series for wildlife photography as well as our FastTrack Kayak series which is also more stable than the RazorLite series and will also paddle straighter and faster than our Explorers.

We bought our 385FT kayak in 2015 to bring along in our RV. We used it about 20 times and in 2020 a 2" section of a pontoon seam separated. Thinking it could be repaired, I talked with the service department and was told there was no way to repair it. They offered $500 off the price of a new one, but since our first one only lasted that long, I felt it was throwing good money after bad. Sea Eagle did replace the paddles and the pump at no cost so there is no complaints about their service, its just that in my experience, the kayak is not reliable. I'm giving it a one because it didn't last very long considering the expense.

Sea Eagle Reply:
We apologize for any inconvenience with your kayak. Sea Eagle offers an industry leading 3-year warranty against defects and typically an issue like this would be discovered within the first year of use. Sea Eagle also offers optional warranty extensions (for an additional 3 years) on all of our inflatable products.

Don’t know if 1 or 5 scale is good or bad but I love this boat!! Only regret is the small trailer to transport it by hand is too expensive. One woman can handle the weight but it’s so bulky it’s hard for one person to carry

Purchasing this kayak has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I would love to be able review it, but I can't because the kayak is unusable. After purchasing the SE 370, it arrived at our doorstep without any of the valves. Despite repeatedly calling and emailing Sea Eagle's customer service multiple times over the last month, no one has responded. My calls are sent to a voicemail saying they are overwhelmed with calls, and my emails must fall into a black abyss. While I certainly understand being overwhelmed right now, it should not take almost a month (and counting!) to respond to customers who have unusable products they have paid over $400 for. I have never left a negative product review before but I am beyond frustrated. We had promised our kids a kayaking trip this summer and summer is slipping away. In short, I'm very, very disappointed.

Sea Eagle Reply:
We apologize for any inconvenience during these unprecedented times. It appears our customer service team has been in contact with you to remedy your missing valves. If you have any more questions or concerns please contact us and we will respond within a timely fashion.

Not happy with this Kayak -- we purchased this in 2012 for ~ $ 1400 -- we used it a couple of times a year and ONLY on lakes never in whitewater -- Was going to Lake Powell in June 2019 and I inflated it, put it in my pool to see how it was and BOTH side hulls had MAJOR leaks ( one side at least a 6" seam leak -- contacted Seaeagle -- " Sorry can't fix the seam but we can sell you another at a reduced cost" -- why would I want to drop another 6-700 dollars (hull only) for something that won't last, I would rather purchase something MUCH less expensive, that I am guessing will last as long as this --- VERY disappointed !!!!!

There's was nothing in your literature that said it was sourced out of China. How much air to put in bottom chamber. Should be a gauge of some kind. Seats. From pics looks like seats are fastened down. Of course they aren't. Seat always leans back. Very uncomfortable after a period of time. Seats should be higher up. The paddle rubs on RH air chamber. Very hard to get out of. I've been dumped in Miss. River twice trying to get out. One of my boys has a hard shell one so we will go up river this summer to see which one takes the most energy. No place to put any thing. If you place some thing between your legs than can't place your feet there. If you place some thing behind you, than turn around, it feels like you might turn over. Why can't you put D-Rings on this thing. With 2 6' ft. people on board it would be a boat full. I will probably try it 2 more times before I try something else.

Hi Folks We have owned both power and sail boats and have enjoyed Seaeagle products for at least 10 years with our previous boat being a Seaeagle 435 Paddleski. Unfortunately our Paddleski developedd an unrepairable leak. We chose to go with the Fastrac as our next Seaeagle, looking for a lighter and faster tender for our trimaran adventures. Pro: -Light, tracks well and marginally faster than the Paddleski 435. Cons: -The Fastrac does not handle a seaway nearly as well as the Paddleski. Fastrac takes even small chop over the bow. -Water from waves and paddling come in and can not be removed until ashore and partially emptied through the floor drains provided. -Fastrac does not role up a small as the Paddleski due to the rigid inflatable front keel sections and rear keel base. -Fastrac is slow to pack up after use since floor must be removed to swab out remaining water taken in that settles between outer and inner floors. CONCLUSION: Would buy a Paddleski 395 in a minute if it where still availble!

Very poorly made. The rudder fell entirely off and the glue separated on the seams. I would not recommend to anyone!

I used the raft twice on Yellowstone lake. On a very calm day the wind would blow me away from shore very quickly so I couldn’t fish much. The raft was well made but because of the give and take of a raft the Orr’s were hard to used. The raft didn’t meet I expectations I was hoping for.

Sea Eagle Reply:
Lonny, all hulls are affected by the wind. Small lightweight inflatables more so than much larger and heavier rigid hulls. Use of a small anchor or drift sock will help both in that kind of situation. https://www.seaeagle.com/Accessories/anchors

Very disappointed. Only used it one season. It was fun and worked well for that season, but the mold that grew on it (unlike my regular kayaks) was unremovable and made it unusable. Will not purchase one of these rubber vessels again.

As per pg 8 of the included instructions (https://www.seaeagle.com/img/InstructionalPDF/SportKayaks.pdf) we advise "Make sure that your boat is dry before storing your kayak for more than a few days, to remove any excess moisture that could cause unsightly mildew." and 7:25 of the video instructions: https://youtu.be/kcukFqTwlrY

I thought this would be a good choice for my brother and myself, as we are seniors and need something light weight to get in and out of the car. It was Awkward to paddle; sides too bulky to use the paddles effectively, Seats poorly designed and very low setting in the kayak. I ordered two inflatable cushions to boost the seats up higher, but never used them.Only used the kayak once. Very disappointed.

I can only give a 2 star review for this kayak because of INCREDIBLY unstable riding. Without a stabilizer, I'm unable to ride this kayak because it is super wobbly. I'm also not able to return it because it is past the return policy date. The motivation for purchasing this kayak was after watching a demonstration video on YouTube. After testing it personally, I have to say that it is a very unstable kayak for amateurs like myself and my wife to ride - I also recently watched another 473rl video and saw that experts also carefully evaluated the kayak as unstable. For others looking to purchase, I suggest you look at the "465ft FastTrack Inflatable Kayak" which seems like a safer option than the 473rl. I wish I could exchange. I have already spent $2,325.65 CAD(included tax, shipping ) for USED ONE. I'm so disappointed.

Sea Eagle Reply:
We are sorry this kayak did not work out for you. We offer an industry leading 120 day return period so customers can use the kayak and return it if they are unhappy with the purchase. Also we do state on our site the " the RazorLite™ kayaks are best recommended for intermediate and above paddlers." The FastTrack is also a great option for someone looking for a fast kayak with added stability.

I wish that I would have bought the 300X. The tubes on this model are too small for whitewater

Only one issue: the keel air valve is difficult to reach. I suggest an access flap in the bow cover or move the valve back. Also, the inflatable seats I bought should have the valves already installed. I have tried to get the ring on several times and have not been successful. Seems odd that it would be up to the customer to perform such a difficult part of the assembly of your product.

Sea Eagle Reply:
Thank you for the review and feedback Rand. We leave the valves off to avoid any damage during shipping and storage. Here is a video that will help in any use or installation of your white valves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV7csUFzHCA

I took my boat down the river and immediately had holes and gashes all the down the bottom. We patched it up and after taking it again, we now have punctures in the air chambers. Definitely DO NOT take this boat on any flowing water/river like it is advertised. Pretty disappointing to spend so much money and have it punctured so easily.

You can not stand up in it. You can not use the trolling motor on anything but still water. You can not maneuver the boat by yourself. The trailer is not that use full you will still need a second person to take on the other side. I wasted a lot on this. I could buy a small fishing boat for this price.

I received the kayak at the end of August 2021. The kayak is longer and better than an intext product with a great pump and longer and more durable paddles. The bag is horrible and tears easily leading to punctures. In two months, it got punctured at the sides and I had to return from Ottawa without paddling and once from Milton too as it took a lot of time to repair it. I ended up buying another duffle bag and a lot of repair equipment. The kayak works fine though I do not have much confidence in it and only stay in water for an hour. Overall good product with very weak equipment supporting it. Those who buy at a lesser price from Amazin, even complain of the pump. One valve is no longer reversible and I have to use it for a seat which does not ensure a good posture for me or co-user.

The kayak took longer than expected to arrive. When it came, it came in two different boxes. The kayak didn't fit in the carrying bag. I tried to contact customer services more times than I can count. They finally answered saying they didn't have a bag available to fit the kayak. They then sent me a cheap $10 dollar big cargo bag that was pretty useless. The only reason I'm even giving them a 2 (instead of a 1) is because I do think the quality of my specific kayak is great. It is such a shame that the company and customer service is so bad. My best friend tried to buy the same kayak as mine and when his arrived, it was completely different than what he ordered. Not surprised. For the price tag of these kayaks, I would expect to have all pieces fit and proper customer service when something is wrong with the order/ a part doesn't fit.

The kayak does not track straight. We have read and watched videos on this issue with no luck. We have stopped using the kayak because of this-not enjoyable so have not used in months....bad purchase for us-poor quality??

In general I am very disappointed with the product and at this point wish I hadn't purchased it. My primary complaint is that I find the kayak too narrow and unstable. I've spent some time trying to devise an outrigger, similar to something you see on Polynesian canoes. I also experienced significant difficulty inserting and removing the foot rests. Both factors have played a major role in the kayak remaining in storage while we use our individual kayaks for routine local trips.

I was originally very excited by this kayak. My first two outings were on very calm days with no breeze at all. The third time out on a small pond the breeze under 5 mph kept cstching me and turning me around. I was careful when drying and putting it away. Took it to the lake two weeks ago and discovered thst it had two holes in it. I have absolutely no idea of how this could have occurred. One was on the bottom on the under side and the other was on top of the stern. I kept the bost inside the bag and inside my home. So sad. I am very disappointed.

Not really happy with the swivel set security. Your design is flawed as far the length of the braces to secure the seat. I have repeatedly tried different ways to strap it down and have found known to keep it secured properly. When you have to paddle the kayak in high wing conditions the movement back and forth ultimately loosens up the security of the seat. Which means constantly trying to tighten it down which is ridiculous. Additional straps would be appreciated to at least help with the problem.

The foot rest is very difficult to put it on. The more we tried, the more damages we caused.

Solid boat. Seems sturdy and stable once you get a feel for it. Paddles are cheap but do the job. Inflation isn't too bad of a process. It deflates and can be packed in the provided bag quite easily. It is tight for 2 adults. Unfortunately, the main downside to me is I didn't realize the seats have no way of securing to the boat. Considering it is rated for up to class 3 White Water I had assumed a method to secure the seats would have been an obvious feature so I was quite surprised when this wasn't the case. The seats shift around quite a bit even just when paddling and if you capsize you now have the boat and two seats floating off in different directions. I plan to use some straps to tie the seats down some how but the point is I shouldn't have to. I wouldn't have purchased this particular boat had I known and their customer service never responded to my email on the matter. I only gave 2 stars because the boat itself does seem very well made.
