You can not stand up in it. You can not use the trolling motor on anything but still water. You can not maneuver the boat by yourself. The trailer is not that use full you will still need a second person to take on the other side. I wasted a lot on this. I could buy a small fishing boat for this price.

I purchased this boat based on the great reviews. I still believe it is good quality, but my Water Snake electric motor arrived without the propeller or the Users Manual. Hence 2 stars. Will call tomorrow and see if I can get this corrected.

Works well once inflated. Hard to inflate and set up if you’re using the trolling motor. Takes a long time. Also there is no place for the battery for the trolling motor and no good place for the operator to sit well utilizing the trolling motor. Everything else about it though it’s good and it is quality.

not too crazy about the floor boards . i like the wooden ones much better . when shipped the insides were in backwards and i had to remove them and reinstall them. they seem to be too soft. just in case u didnt know this is the 3rd se-9 i've bought in the last 15 years. i liked the older ones better you cant use a chair on the new ones . and if u use the old wooden ones they deflate the floor boards. i bought the extended warrenty 6 years . because i'm 65 years old and after 6 years i'll be too old to haul it around. i've had some great times on ur boats but i've had 3 boats that failed one the valves all brokeoffmand im got a replacement . the replacement failed . some sort of dry rot of the hull while in storage in the basement. and one that just blew out on the seam. and was toast. just in case u want to know. it could be made of better material like zodiac boats . thanks .

Sea Eagle Reply:
Thanks for the review Walter. The material choice keeps the cost far below any reinforced PVC material. We have many boats made out of reinforced material if you would like to check them out. For any assistance with your boat/valves or to talk about our other boats feel free to call or email anytime.

Not a bad little boat. Takes forever to inflate but still an ok boat.

I ordered the watersnake motor canopy package. Shipping was about a week. The motor and mount came separate and seem to be good quality. I was told that my canopy was on back order and I would not get that until the end of July. The box the boat came in looked like it was a return by the looks of the box. I pulled it out and tested it only to find it has a leak. Words can not describe the disappointed look on my 5 year old sons face when I said we can't take the boat out tomorrow. I am still optimistic about this boat and I am hoping to get a replacement soon due to a leak in the seam of the main chamber and looks like someone had tried to glue it before. The reviews of others of how great the customer service and support is makes me feel this shouldn't be a issue. The excitement of taking it out tomorrow was quickly deflated "pun intended" and I'm highly annoyed that I now have to possibly wait two weeks for a replacement. Sea Eagle please reach out as soon as you get this. Thank you!

I would like to have a more SOLID bottom. Your picture shows two men standing up fishing. This is not feasible in my boat. Can you advise what can improve this situation. Both my husband and I are older and the soft bottom of the air inflated bottom does not allow for us to stand up. Thank you.

I'm getting used to the boat. I don't like the inflatable seats so I am getting the high bench seats. I just bought a smaller case to handle the battery. The battery was shifting to the right or left and falling over, mostly because the floor is not stable at all. Before I bought this? I saw video and pictures of people standing in the boat fishing. I can't do that in mine. So, I now need to know if there is a firm floor that I can put in the boat. If I can't move around in the boat? It doesn't make for an enjoyable experience, and honestly, it's just a matter of time before someone goes over the side.....because of the floor. So I need to know how I can make my investment usable. Do you have a solid floor available? If not? What do I do ? Thanks in Advance....

Nice boat with the oars. Light weight and easy to assemble. Don't plan on being able to carry it to the river/lake to assemble by the shore because there are too many parts when you include the pump and oars and not a lot of room in the boat to take it all with you. The inflatable seats are akward and take up a lot of space. It's more comfortable to sit on the floor Pass on the electric motor as there is no place to keep the battery! Notice they don't show the battery in the pictures where the trolling motor is on the boat. Get a small gas motor if you want some trolling power. I have the lighter weight SE9. Overall, the boat is heavy duty, well constructed and comfortably fits 2 people. If you're looking for something inexpensive yet durable that is easy to store, the SE9 is a nice option.

We have only had a chance to use the boat a few times and are overall happy with the boat. We bought the inflatable seats with the backrests and find they are uncomfortable so we are looking for another solution to make it a more enjoyable ride. My husband also finds if there is much of a wind, it's a little difficult to maneuver. But for a lazy ride out on a still day it's great.

The SE9 is vey well constructed… heavy duty vinyl… The instructions to set it up are clear. The only problem we have had… And it is a major one is that there is no comfortable place to sit if you are using a trolling motor. And to add the trolling motor to the set up takes a lot more time… From beginning to end it takes us about an hour and a half if we’re going to use the trolley motor.

I live in Texas and since we bought the trolling motor to go with it we have to place 3 inch numbers on its side. how do i do that?

Sea Eagle Reply:
We recommend mounting the numbers on a boat number plaque and hanging over the side. This way the numbers will not come off after inflating and deflating the boat multiple times.

It’s a good little boat, very well constructed… solid. The only problem we have had has to do with a trolling motor. It takes a lot of time to insert the motor mounting bracket, and there is no easy place to put the battery. There is no comfortable place to sit and control the motor. Awkward at best. But absent that, it is a great little boat.

Sea Eagle Reply:
Thanks for the review! We recommend placing the battery box slightly forward in the boat to allow more room behind the seat as well as balance weight on the boat.

This is my 3rd boat from Sea Eagle and they never fail to impress me. My 2 other boats are Packfish7 for my wife and I. With this boat we absolutely love it. From the build quality to the ease from Vehicle to water in 10 mins. (Well once I got my system down) One major thing you must do before using the boat the first time is to assemble all the valves position everything nicely in the bag. That's a must. I have the fishers dream with trolling package. Once you assemble it a few times you'll be on the water in no time. The only reason I didn't give a 5 is that the Seat is a little high and with the fishers dream bracket; it hits my battery box and it won't fit under the bracket, other than that it's amazing. I've already bragged to alot of my buddies on the transportable aspects of the boat and it can fit in almost any vehicle. My wife has a lincoln MKZ and it fits perfectly in the trunk, and also a breeze in my Range Rover Velar. I can get to those hidden gem ponds and lakes. Its a must buy

The quality of the SE9 is impressive. Once we figured out how to fit the battery and seats the room in the boat is comfortable to move around.

The SE9 is my second SE style boat from Sea Eagle. I based my recent purchase on the versatility and ease of use of my first boat. I have had the SE9 in the water only once, last September and even though this use was brief, the boat met my expectations. I especially liked the inflatable rigid bottom of the SE9, and the seat cushions. I wish Sea Eagle would supply this model with a longer oar. At 5' the standard oar is much too short to properly row this boat. Please make available a 6 1/2 to 7' oar with a 1 1/8" diameter shaft that can be used with the SE9 oar lock. I purchased the Sea Eagle recommended cig lighter electric pump for the SE9 and it promptly blew out the fuses in my vehicle the first time I used it. Ok, so I switched to the foot pump...the ring clamp which fastens the bladder to the pump frame fell off rendering the pump useless. Good thing I had a second foot pump with me. Make me feel better about Sea Eagle and refund my money for that electric pump.

I enjoy using this SE9 for floating around small lakes and fishing with my family. I've used it approximately 6 times last summer. Customer service has been good although during busy times responses are slow. The quality of the boat is pretty good although the boat and supports for the motor mount don't have the rigidity for anything beyond a trolling motor; I would not recommend a 3hp gas motor on it even though the specs say it's fine. I think this boat would be better with a 1000 denier hull as the k80 seems to stretch a bit and have some give although it's reasonably tough. I would not be comfortable in any boat with a 38 mil k80 hull in rapids. When you inflate the chambers sequentially using the 10cm guide per instructions by the time you fill the 3rd chamber the ruler shows the first two chambers are beyond 10cm which seems odd but maybe it's okay. You have to be very careful to get it completely dry before storing to avoid any mold. Overall it's a pretty good multipurpose inflatable boat.

Sea Eagle Reply:
Thank you for your review. We give the option of K80 as it has good durability while remaining very affordable. Check out our many 1000 Denier inflatable options online. Feel free to reach out to us anytime for any other assistance.

The quality of construction is excellent. I find it difficult to launch solo. The boat is not as stable as I had anticipated, perhaps a wood floor would add to the stability, but then add more weight. I used the boat twice and have yet to use with a motor. I believe that the boat is more practical for two due to set up and launch.

The boat is great for what we bought it for, which was camping on the river banks. It is hard to steer in some currents. My biggest drawback is it’s made in China, and why buying it actually saved me money on renting, the made in China is why I won’t buy again. One thing I’ve learned through this year is buy made in the USA if all possible.

We really like our Sea Eagle. It’s better on smaller calm water especially with the canopy. Can be a little precarious with two people. We like to sit on the seats in the boat as opposed to the bench on top in the rear. The honda engine is great and does move the boat through the water pretty well. It was a little difficult to launch, but overall we are pleased and would recommend this boat.

We are a late 70’s couple. Use the S9 with 3 hp gas engine when we camp in our TT. box was damaged and some small parts were missing; no paperwork to allow us to get registration numbers. Once opened, the boat itself was intact and registration papers came upon request. The boat easily inflates with electric 12v and foot pump. Together we can lift the boat with nothing in it. After the initial hassle of putting the motor mount together, We left the motor mount attached to the bars and removed the whole thing from the boat. Oars are ok. Wouldn’t want to depend on them for long distance. Our engine moves the boat (not fast) sufficiently. There is room for 2 people, seats, cooler, fishing gear, bait and life preservers, maybe a child. The inflatable seats were not satisfactory and the sides of the boat partially collapsed when we leaned on them. We were looking for a lightweight inexpensive inflatable. The S9 works but may not be the boat for those of us who are not as young and agile as we used to be.

Nice little boat, easy to get on the water. Not comfortable seating, engine a bit too slow.

We purchased the SE9 to fish the lakes at some of the campgrounds we frequent. The boat, floor, and seats are easily inflated with the foot pump. The motor mount installs easily and works great with my electric trolling motor. I also love the fish and troll board and rod holders. I absolutely love the boat with one exception and the reason for the four star review. I really do not like the inflatable floor as it is not as stable as I would like. It feels spongy under my feet like walking on a waterbed only firmer. The inflatable seat is fine once I get settled on it. I really wish the boat came with a wood floor option with pedestal seat mounts. I would like to know if it is possible to make a wooden floor that would work in place of the inflatable floor. Overall it is a great boat other than the inflatable floor which again I really do not like at all.

Sea Eagle Reply:
Timothy, Although you cannot replace the inflatable floor, you can add a wooden floor on top of it. Please note the floor pressure should be higher than the boat at 2 psi.

I'm very happy overall with my Sea Eagle SE9 boat. Very substantial rubber and construction speak to the durability of this boat. Love the capacity for carrying things. My wife feels especially secure in the boat because of its stability even with some rougher water. The only challenges I'd reference are that extra rubber around the valves made it impossible to hook the valve cover rings around 2 of the valve stems on the hull and a valve stem on the larger seat. Also, it is impossible to fit the battery while in the power station under the fish-n-troll bench seat. I've purchased longer cables to allow me to place the battery at the bow of the boat. Other than those inconveniences, it is a wonderful boat. I'd definitely recommend it and I will buy from Sea Eagle again. Shipping was fast and all instructions easy to follow. Storage is awesome! Fits in the trunk of my Toyota Yaris!
