SE9 Motor Mount Inflatable Boat Reviews
Alex Richardson
I am very pleased with my SE9 boat. It was perfect for me, I can put every thing in the back of my truck and show more... leave it there for the whole season. I can park pull it out and inflate it all in about 15 or 20 minutes. I can put it just about any where. I have a fish locator mounted on the front seat with the transducer mounted to trolling mother. I can fish all the small ponds in the area without worry of a boat dock and can go places in the lake that have shallow water with no problem. I have a couple items that I plan to buy this year that will make things better like the rowing seat and the EZ cart wheel system. The only thing that I see better is the new SE9 with the high pressure inflatable floor. Good Fishing, Alex Richardson

This has been a terrific boat for us. We use it for small lake and river fishing. I upped the power to a 55# thrust show more... Min Kota and it moves through the water quite well . . . even into the wind and against the river current. We always feel safe and stable on this little boat. We're now traveling full time in our RV, and take it everywhere we go. It's lightweight and easily stowable. When we're ready to fish we can inflate and be on the water in under 15 minutes. The Sea Eagle looks just like new today, even after hundreds of hours of use. I sponge off with clean water and a little household cleaner to take the stains off. It seems to like rough treatment, as we've launched over rocks and on rough boat ramps without much evidence of abrasion. Sea Eagle makes great products! And the price was sure reasonable. We always get positive comments when we're launching or loading.

Love the boat as we have a 5th wheel it is small and easy to pack and haul. Very easy to set up. It is show more... now up for sale as we have gotten a sea eagle 375fc fold cat and we love just as much ( the wife more so ) but they are both great boat .

Great boat took through all kinds of water ways- from ocean bays to hard to reach creeks. kinda need a new one though its getting show more... a little wear and tear.

Excellent all around! Boat is of great quality in all aspects. Shipping was fast and boat has stood up well. I didn't like the seats show more... that came with it so I just put lawn chairs in for seats which works great. The motor mount steel bars that came with the boat only lasted the first season but I replaced them with actual steel ones based on the same design and they are very strong now. Overall the boat is a very good product and I have used it a lot to catch a variety of fish in many lakes. Cheers! TW

I am sorry to say I haven't been able to use my boat but a couple of times because of sickness after I bought it. show more... But I plan on making good use of it this year now that I am better. The time that I did get to use the boat I was impressed with it. I decided to get the electric pump to inflate it I am glad I did. I am 72 years old now and pumping it was a task with bad knees, but the electric pump is great. I did extend the length of the electric wires to make it easier to run from the car. I bought the 30lb trolling motor and it does a fine job on this boat loaded with 2 people it was great. we had plenty of room and enjoyed our day . the only thing was the wind was blowing pretty hard and the water was white capping some but we never got wet. but I had bought a kayak anchor thinking it would hold the boat in place ,wrong not in the wind I needed something heavier. I think if the boat had a keel on the bottom it would not be like a balloon on the water in the wind.

The whole process was great and the boat is the best and works great tin the local rivers and ponds. Makes me want to order show more... other boats from Seaeagle.

I purchased this boat to carry with me in the camper. Although with the boat, floorboard, seats, motor mount, trolling motor, and battery it takes
show more...
up quite a bit of storage space, it serves the purpose of always having a fishing boat with me. It is a well constructed boat, and once a floorboard is added, it provides a stable platform for fishing.

David, we see that you have an SE9 Classic from 2009. Although a great boat you may want to take a look at our latest release ► https://www.seaeagle.com/MotormountBoats/SE9. It's 50 lbs. lighter and everything but the motor mount brackets fit in the carry bag that it come with!

I never been out on this boat., every time I plan to go out with my wife to go fishing all of the parts are
show more...
to heavy for us to carry., plus we have fishing poles a cooler in a bucket plus two tackle bags and safety kit., I believe it's to much to carry. I have tried to carry it all with me., but it is to much work to carry it from a up stairs apartment to a waiting cab.,
Sorry don't get me wrong., I still love my boat., with a trolling motor. I had this boat for (6) six years now., and it never been in a lake or the ocean...
I need to find something that i can use to carry all my equipment.
Thanks for your time and understanding...
Signed

Melvin, thank you for your honest review. From our records we see that you have what is now an SE9 Classic purchased back in 2010. You may find that you are interested in our new and improved current model. It's 50 lbs lighter, more portable, and everything from the Fisherman's Dream Package fits in the convenient carry bag with the exception of the motor mount frame. The SE9 boat that I got is the best boat ever because I like it that you can store it in a small space and show more... you can transport it anywhere in the back seat or car trunk and whin you reached your launch spot you don't have to wait in line to launch your boat. You can launch it anywhere where you have access to the water. In fact before I had a car I used to put the boat in my bike trailer (defeated of course) and take it to the water. With this boat I had a lot of good times fishing on it. So good in fact that I caught a 22 in red fish one time. The bottom line is if you like to fish this is the boat for you. This is for sea eagle I would like to buy the travel canoe but not the 16 footer but I would like to buy it if you have a 12 footer

Bought boat about 7 years ago and took it with me brand new to my home in Italy. The oars were confiscated by airport security show more... , bought new ones in Italy. Have used the boat every summer since then on lake Bolsena near Montefiascone in Lazio . I am very happy with my purchase except for the inflator which gave up after a few times of use. Bought a new one that works of a car battery. Peter

I'm not sure how I even found Sea Eagle but I'm glad I did because I had not owned a boat in 10 years. At show more... first, we were going to get the SE370 just to get out on the water occasionally but when the time came to make the purchase I saw the SE9 Fisherman's Dream package. I love fishing more than rowing so I was sold on the SE9. I highly recommend this boat to any recreational fisherman tight on space or budget for a Ranger, Tracker, etc. She says I go fishing now more than ever, which is probably true since the restrictions of shore fishing are gone. Yes, it is some work for about 20-30 minutes to get it in the water when fishing by myself when you consider the weight of the floorboards, battery & trolling motor but it is worth it in my opinion. The boat with the floorboards, motormount, battery, trolling motor, & all the other accessories fit in our Focus on fishing trips and in a closet when not in use. Can't wait for all this snow to melt and warm weather to come back once again!

I bought my SE9 back in 85. Sailed it on Spruce Run Reservoir when all my neighbor friends had catamarans...they went faster, I could carry show more... the coolers...with the beer...lol. It was a lot of fun then. Moved to NY North Shore and have used it on some of the quieter bays for fishing with both an electric motor and a 3 HP gas.....don't know where the sail kit went. Might be getting time to get a new one....but this boat is till good. Love it

Love this boat. on my second one. Current active SE9 iv'e been fishing out of since 2004. Still using the floor Boards from my 1st show more... boat which I purchased in 2009. I put more hours a year on this vessel then I do my 20' Wellcraft. Handles the 3.5 horse Merc on the Delaware River with ease. Great stable boat. I Transport inflated on the roof of the truck saves time. Will be getting another one very soon. Hope the floor boards will fit.

Nice boat with the oars. Light weight and easy to assemble. Don't plan on being able to carry it to the river/lake to assemble by show more... the shore because there are too many parts when you include the pump and oars and not a lot of room in the boat to take it all with you. The inflatable seats are akward and take up a lot of space. It's more comfortable to sit on the floor Pass on the electric motor as there is no place to keep the battery! Notice they don't show the battery in the pictures where the trolling motor is on the boat. Get a small gas motor if you want some trolling power. I have the lighter weight SE9. Overall, the boat is heavy duty, well constructed and comfortably fits 2 people. If you're looking for something inexpensive yet durable that is easy to store, the SE9 is a nice option.

Well my wife bought the se9 for me as a xmas gift for 2015 we are now in to October 2016 we have had our show more... boat out on the lake 4 times this year we love it i run a 2.5 hp suzuki outboard motor works perfect not fast or anything but enough to putt around the lake and get to the islands for a great afternoon all and all the boats been perfect holds me the wife and our to younger kids perfectly i say the only thing i didn't like was the wooden bench that cracked after second use other than that would definitely recommend the se9 to anyone that doesn't want to store a big boat this boat all fit in one bag thanks sea eagle

Was very excited about the Sea Eagle boat, had been looking at them for a couple of years before purchasing. It does everything they say show more... it does, and quite well. I've used it to go fishing a couple times since I've gotten it. Very stable, easy to "assemble and inflate" ,launch, land and deflate and pack away. Only problem I have is it is very heavy and cumbersome for me (bad back and hips) to move around. No problem with the boat, just my structure LOL. Would I purchase again? Not this boat, maybe something a little smaller, lighter, and easier for these old bones to deal with.

So glad that I purchase this boat. My family has used it all last summer on the lake without one problem. Thanks for making a show more... boat with such great quality
Matthew Simunic
Very impressed so far with this boat. First fishing trip went 18 miles.

Use the boat to service the outboard on my houseboat (mounted two feet behind the stern. Works well.

We love our boat. The only problem we have is that the battery is so big. Is there a small battery that we can purchase?
Happy New Year to all staff

Hi Yvonne, here a link to the smallest and lightest battery we offer. It's about the size of a small coffee can and weighs just under 6 lbs. Click Here ► http://sea.gl/K2

We have only used it on one camping trip. It was heavier than we expected and took up a bit to ensemble, but once we show more... got it together and down to the launching area it was great. My husband was like little boy the joy in his face was amazing. The motor was so quiet and we enjoy many hours out on the lake. We in addition have since then purchased the cart and also the bench and the bench with the fishing pole holders. We will use it again in the summer. We'll update with pictures at that time. Bottom line very pleased with the purchase.

I would like to give thanks to everyone at Sea Eagle, especially Hawaiian Dan. I recently had an issue with the motor mount for my show more... SE9 which began to de-laminate after only a couple months exposed to the elements. I contacted the company and 4 days later (2 were Christmas Holidays) they contacted me and offered to replace the mount. Within 2 weeks the new mount was delivered directly to my residence and looks great. The quick response and immediate rectification of my issue shows me the high level of customer service and pride they take in their product. I am extremely pleased with the boat and motor and highly recommend Sea Eagle to anyone interested in looking for a reliable and quality tender, back by a company and team members that care about their customer's satisfaction. Thank you all. David B

Great boat !!!!! I had bought one back in the 80's and had a little 10hp Johnson on it. Scooted right along. That was in show more... California where we had lakes everywhere. Now we live in Colorado springs and the lakes are not plentiful for a boat with a motor. A lot of our lakes are electric motor only or man power. That is why we bought the SE9. My wife and I are both 65 years and it is easy for the two of us to handle. I do have a trolling motor and it works just fine. I will deflate it and store it in our 5th wheel travel trailer in the front compartment and it works just fine. Thanks again as I will always be a Sea Eagle owner. These things are almost indestructible. One of these days, I may get a 3-4 hp gas for it but at this point we are doing fine
