Everyone on the lake wanted to know where to get one. I’m very upset tho. I purchased the boat and had it stored, like many show more... people would. I went online to see what engine capacity the boat was rated for. Learned that it was rated for 10hp. So, I purchased a 9.9hp motor for more power. Then put the boat together to find the transom states 6hp max. I called SeaEagle to get the truth and learned they changed the transom. My boat was only 3 or so months old and it was already outdated. This is a boat that is often stored. People rely on your website for information. Be more specific. Had I not been misled by info on your website, I might have save a thousand dollars by keeping my 5hp motor I bought in the package instead of selling it and buying a 9.9 I cannot use.

Bought a FSK16K with a Honda motor which should be faster the the 385 fta with a trolling motor I bought before. The problem is show more... on the registration. The Texas tax office requires to pay tax during registration. But the tax has been collected by Sea Eagle. The Tax office told me I need to either get refund from Sea Eagle or let Sea Eagle do the registration for me. Talked to Sea Eagle stuff and was told they don't do registration but they have to collect the tax. Now I paid tax twice. I am thinking to return the boat back to Sea Eagle or keep struggling with the tax money. Bought trailer from local Academy store. They don't do registration but they don't charge tax either.

The good: Great idea and design Stable on the water Decent speed with the 5hp Honda motor Comfortable enough for 2 people(I think 3 would show more... be too crowded) Never thought I will purchase a trailer but after a couple of outs inflating and deflating, I can definitely appreciate the trailer. But it's nice to have the option to fold Good customer service and support so far(thanks to Jerry) The bad(for me): The material is not as tough as I thought it will be. A good size catfish managed to put a small hole in the side of the boat. I patched it but it was a disappointing experience. No way of reinforcing the bottom(checked with SE), since I am fishing intercoastal waters over sharp oyster beds(1st 🌟). Huge drawback for me here. Wanted to extend the warranty and buy the extra 3 years, but found out the hard way that you can't do it after purchasing the boat(2nd 🌟). Respectfully, it doesn't make sense if you stand behind your product. Didn't make up my mind yet, but I may return the boat after the 180 days

Pro's: Stable boat for an inflatable, two people can fish without feeling like your going to tip over. Con's: Very difficult to put engine mount show more... onto boat (took two people and 30 minutes just to get it aligned). The bag for the boat is very fragile and not strong enough for the weight of the boat. (mine ripped the first time I tried to lift it) I would not take it in rough waters with two people unless you don't mind getting wet. Boat flooring should be all one piece. Seams had openings which they said was normal. I am hoping that water does not make it come apart in the future. (See picture)

Current transoms have been improved to ease installation and we are in the process of improving the storage bag. Your hull, including your EVA foam floor with the butt seam, is covered by your 3 Year Warranty. We are also looking into a way of improving this in the future.

I think the SE16 is a practical design. I used it with a Mercury 3.5 and a Honda 2.3. Not enough HP to get her show more... up on plane, but enough to get around. A very stable platform and since I fish alone most of the time, I can carry a lot of gear. Good for poling, fly fishing etc.

It’s a fun boat that’s easy to set up. It’s easy and quick to get it set up for the water. It needs some improvements show more... however. There are no webbing pockets to put stuff in. Also, the straps that hold the seat down aren’t very secure. So far the construction of the boat has help up well.

so far so good. i only have been on the water once with it. hoping this year will allow for more time on the water. show more... deffently want to get the sun shade for it.

I love this skiff, a little difficult inflating and launching at site but very stable and maneuverable on the water

used the boat to Crappie fish on Black Lake NY . I fished for 5 weeks leaving the boat inflated and docked for the whole show more... time . Boat worked well for the most part . I do have an extremely slow leak on one side and the transom is falling a part . The leak I have not found and the transom I purchased 14 SS bolts and fender washers to hold it all together . I also tried to run a strap that held the transducer that went around the whole boat a big fail and did not allow the boat to plane (thought it was a boat problem) everything was fine once I removed the strap . I am running a 6 hp tohatsu motor very pleased with motor . As far as seating I would like to move the drivers/rear seat forward 8-10 inches but not able as the seat is or has to be strapped down . Also the locking Mechanism is a pain so much so I removed it from the drivers seat . It's a great boat to fish out of and enjoyed the heck out of it . Seats themselves work well as far as comfort and fish-ability . I also bought the wheels and axle to move

I’m happy with the boat. The only possible improvement would be to find away to handle taller waves.

Excellent fishing skiff. There are a couple things I should mention. We took it to Lake Mead and that was a little to much for show more... it. The winds can kick up there and the oars are insufficient for winds over about 5 mph. The motor works fine though, but again, don't get to far from shore. It's very heavy so you'll need something to haul it over rough terrain. Lake Mead's shore is made up of large Idaho potato sized rocks so it was quite a struggle getting it from where we could park down to the water. Assembly is a lot of work and unless you enjoy aerobic workouts, get the electric pump. Once you get it pumped up, put the seats on it, mount the motor and battery, and stow all the gear. Take a break. Once assembled and in the water, it was worth it. The lake has somewhere around 500 miles of shore line and is several miles wide so we didn't explore much of it. We were out about an hour before the wind kicked up and we had to head for shore. We were using a 365 A/hr battery and just made it back. I'd recommend it.

I purchased the FSK16 skiff in April and have had it out now 4 times. I had substantial issues with Honda motor, but it was show more... filled by Warranty and Sea Eagle and Sales Manager, Will ..did a great job getting this ramped up and taken care of. With that however, I must tell anyone that reads this review, that this inflatable is not for everyone. It is a great boat and well built, but you better be strong. Must haves: -You will need a turbo pump. Both blow up and vacuum/deflating flat. You will need a cart to roll it down...and I am going to hand make a front cart too...it would be helpful. I have tried this in the toughest of areas, beaches & long lawn launches -Get a portable leaf blower to blow off debris when you come in from the lake, it will help -CAN IT HANDLE ROUGH WATER...YES, BUT YOU WONT LIKE IT-Seats do not work very well, keep an eye on the wing nuts, continue to tighten as you fish or you will lose them -Carrier Cover will not last, straps and material breaking down

1 Year down, so far so good. No leaks, no issues, loads of fun to take out - hopefully many more years to go. Best show more... description: it's a giant paddleboard with raised sides and a motor mount. My Tohatsu 6HP pushes it fast enough for me. This replaces my 10.6 Sport Runabout, and I like the Skiff much better. I wouldn't take it into rough waters on the pacific coast like I could with the runabout, but other than that - it is very versatile and lots of good deck space. The SR10.6 lasted 14 years with lots of use before it's seam glue finally gave way, and I expect nothing less from the Fish Skiff 16. Lookin' at you, Sea Eagle. ;) (I've got the V2 version, so hopefully the seam issue was taken care of long before I bought one)

We have had tons of fun and plan to upgrade to the newer model that has an inflatable keel. We're harbor cruisers and all-electric with show more... the Watersnake 70. No trailer, we store in the back of our car and use the xwide cart to get down the ramp. We use the 3 seats, canopy and two LiFp04 batteries in parallel. Can getv4 hours run time. I purchased my FishSkiff 16' back in July 2022. It was shipped directly to my home in Northern CA. It has been nothing but fun show more... using it each summer, and has held up extremely well. We frequently get asked about it while out on the local lakes, and paired with an electric trolling motor has been great for watching birds and other aquatic life w/out upsetting them. It's just the right size for 2 full adults and a full day's gear. I will say the factory seats are about the weakest part of the package, and we've swapped them out for aluminum picnic chairs bought from Costco. After more than an hour or so the factory chairs are quite uncomfortable. I recommend anyone considering the boat to buy. It's easy to store, use and put away after a day. Very happy with the purchase and would do so again!

Love this boat. Firstly ordering it on line from Australia was no problems at all. It was an easy and straightforward process to select the show more... package, calculate the freight and pay online. I use it for fishing rivers, bays and close off shore reefs on calm days. Very stable and comfortable for 2 people to fish out of or easy to handle by myself. The main factors for me is the weight and how strong and tough it is. My gear tends to come in for some rough treatment over rocks, logs etc and the Fish Skiff has stood up well so far with no signs of damage. At around 40 kg’s rigged I can load it onto the roof rack of my truck easily by myself. I run a 6hp Suzuki and have rigged a trolling motor on the front and fitted the tackle rack/grab bar form my Bote paddleboard. It’s a very versatile and incredibly stable craft and very easy to customize with rod holders etc. Just as an aside I greatly appreciate your product updates, which is how I came to buy the Fish Skiff. Overall a great little boat for lake and small river fishing. It is a little hard to setup and launch when you do not have show more... a helper. Loaded up with seats, gas motor, etc. it is a little heavy for one person to lift bow and move the boat around on the rear wheels. It would help to have some sort of additional wheel(s) that could be used at the bow when moving/launching the boat using the rear wheels. Also would help wo have a casting bar that could be mounted on middle of boat for use especially when fishing alone. Maybe that casting bar could fold down when not in use.

I have been very pleased! I was skeptical, having spent money on “portable” items before they weren’t all that. I have a pull behind RV show more... trailer and wanted something I take and could fish out of. Takes me about 30 minutes to assemble (I’m getting faster all the time) and 15 to disassemble. It is easy to fold up, and really does fold to 5’x2’x1.8’, which fits in my truck bed. The seats are stable. I put a 6 go motor on and it moves as fast as I want to go. I have a 9.9 I haven’t tried yet. It is very stable in smaller waves. I have used it to fish inshore coastal waters, and to float the James River for smallmouth. Can’t speak to longevity as I’ve had it less than a year

I love that I can store it away easily. I don’t have to have a trailer for the boat because I don’t have a spot show more... to park trailer. I’m driving a Ford Ranger with the ladder rack and I can store it on top of the truck. So I don’t have to deflate and inflate every time I go out.

This boat is remarkable, it’s sturdy, easy to put together for a quick launch into almost any type water. My son and I both put show more... the boat together and it operated as expected. With an electric motor and both of us having a combined weight of over 400lbs, and some tackle, the boat navigated the water with ease and quickness. Several people were amazed when I took it out of the water and stored it in the back of my Jeep. They couldn’t believe it fit so well with all the equipment and gear. Several people wanted the Sea Eagle website to look for the same boat to buy! My son was happy to be out on the water too, and not just looking at his cell phone!

The Fish Skiff 16 is just what I was looking. Running the Honda 5hp motor I can get around the harbor and fish very shallow show more... water. It has been extremely durable, easy to setup and break down. I use a cooler for a seat in the back, for storage and leave the front open for fly fishing. I also throw my kids or wife in with beach chairs or marine bean bag and it's great. Handles well but going in the direction of larger chop the boat "slides" a bit but I think I'm pushing it beyond its typical use. Love that I can throw it in the back of my car or easily store for winter indoors, although I typically trailer it. I also have 15 lb anchor which I love. It can hold in some pretty strong currents. Overall its a one man fishing machine that gets me into a lot of fish and compliments.

Today I went out on my FS16 and really had a great time out on the waters near the sunshine skyway bridge in Tampa Bay. show more... I was able to paddle in some very shallow water, 3 to 4 inches. This was something I could never dream of doing in any previous boat I had owned. I also enjoyed using my gas engine in the deeper water. I only have a 6hp motor on it and it still was able to cover a good amount of water. With that small of a motor, I was able to be out for a long time without burning an excessive amount of fuel. The boat also handled very well in the swells out in the deeper water. I love the fact that you can stand and not worry about falling out of the skiff. All bets are off for larger swells though. One of the best things I enjoy about the boat is that once back at home it does not take up much space in my garage, just a small portion of a side wall is all it requires.

Just got back from 2 weeks fishing at Hatteras NC. The FSK 16 is a great inflatable boat,my wife and I enjoyed everything about it. show more... I will be ordering other attachments for my on preference but overall it is prefect. I have it pared with a 5 horse Honda. Moves it along just fine. I would like to see SeaEagle come up with an inflatable plug for where you inflate the keel to make the floor more stable in that area. Otherwise this is a great product

I love the boat no trailer and little storage. Went out in the ocean off of San Diego California 20 miles out offshore in 6-8 show more... foot swells. It handled alot better than I expected. Great fishing vessel. Highly recommend for someone on a budget. I have a Mercury 6hp. It's perfect for the boat. It gets up to 12 mph. That's perfect for the swells in the pacific ocean. It's a game changer. I have alot of photos but this site will only let me take a picture and not share photos.
