Classic 465ftc FastTrack™ Inflatable Kayak Reviews

We absolutely love our kayak. We took it out four times as a family so far and coukdnt be more happier with how easy it show more... is to set up, handle and take down and pack up. Can't wait to actually travel with it out of the state. Best birthday present ever!!!

We're very satisfied with our Seaeagle. We have used it in the salt waters of the Puget Sound San Juan Islands, in the fresh water show more... lakes of Eastern and Western Washington and in the lakes of the Black Hills. We tow a travel trailer on our trips and like the ability to deflate the Seaeagle to store in the back of our pickup for travel, then quickly inflate it when we need it. We have recommended Seaeagle Kayaks to numerous folks who have admired ours on our travels. We did discover that it wasn't the best for running river rapids, even mild rapids. While floating a very low flow, tame river we passed through a narrow, fast flowing chute and were unable to keep the kayak aligned with the flow. The nose of the kayak got grounded on large boulders along the edge and the current swung the rear around so we were sideways to the flow, which promptly dumped us both out of the kayak. The Seaeagle, however, remained upright, and we floated to calmer water and climbed back aboard. We enjoyed the experience, however.

Hi, I purchased an SE370 some 3 years prior to the 465FT. The SE370 was purchased to see if we would enjoy life with an show more... inflatable and we did. But as our daughter kept growing, we kind of outgrew the SE370 so we acquired the 465FT. The 465FT is outstanding and we are in love with it. When we go camping or even on one day outings on the water, my daughter often invites a friend so we carry both kayaks in the van most of the time. I can vouch that everything on your website is true about both the SE370 and the 465FT. We go in Provincial Parks in Quebec as well as the coast of Massachussets every summer and these boats always draw attention! I tell everybody how happy I am about their individual merits and invite them to visit your website to determine which model is right for them. Now that you offer an inflatable canoe, that will likely be a future purchase as I have full confidence in your products. In these times it is refreshing to see such honest products on the market.

Hi, This is my second Sea Eagle and we love it. The toughness and quality was never a question but I did wonder if technical show more... features of the Fast Track would translate into major performance upgrade from our Paddle Ski. It far exceeds my expectation. Looking forward to ice out in Minnesota. Thanks. Jon.

Kayakers told me NOT to get a tandem. They said it's a sure way to a divorce. My wife is not so confident on the show more... water in her own craft, and prefers to be in a boat with me. When we had rented tandem kayaks, the were tippy and whenever we would row out of sync, our paddles would hit. Sea Eagle 465ft is long enough that the two of us can sit far enough apart that we are not striking each others oars. The construction and inflation is so solid, that it does not tip like the molded plastic kayaks we rented before. Since this craft can be folded down and packed in our truck bed or car trunk, I havent had to invest in boat racks or trailers. The convenience is such that we take it EVERYWHERE. And, since we use it more, we have been able to learn our syncronized rowing, and what to do to avoid obstacles in the water. We recently took it camping with us from Detroit to Boston. We were out on the Charles River, getting passed by the local college sculling teams. Very Cool. We like our Sea Eagle.

2015 was our second season with the kayak and we absolutely love it. It fits perfectly in the trunk of our Honda Civic and we show more... even bought the cart to enable us to tote it to the various lakes and ponds when parking is a little ways away. The cart works great too. We get lots of comments from people when we're out on the water and we always reiterate our happiness with the Sea Eagle. We would highly recommend this boat to anyone.

My wife, our dog and I are very happy with the size, capacity and stability of our 465ft. It travels well in our RV and show more... attracts a lot of attention at the RV park. I've probably sold a few boats for Sea Eagle. The hard (poly) Kayakers stop us on the water to check it out. We also transport it inflated on top of our Jeep although reasonable speeds are observed. The sales staff let us delete one of the three seats and a paddle from our package to save a few bucks. The electric inflation pump is great saver of time and effort. It clips to the Jeep battery. I like the low seating but we are also trying the higher inflatable seats this year for more shoulder height from the water and a dryer rear end. The dogs toenails are not a concern with the tough fabric. I would buy it again.

I received the Sea Eagle 465 Fast Track for a father's day gift in 2015. I was looking at purchasing a kayak, and I researched show more... inflatable kayaks for a year before purchasing the 456 Fast Track. I was looking for something that would be portable, and would seat 3 people so I could take my kids and grandkids out kayaking. I also wanted something safe for young children. After reading other reviews, I had very high expectations for this kayak. My first outing with this kayak was on a camping trip to Mirror Lake in the Wisconsin Dells with my son and 5 year old grandson. The first thing that I said after getting the kayak in the water was that it exceeded all of my expectations! The kayak was comfortable to sit in, it tracked very well, and was very stable. I bought the tall back seats because I need the extra back support. The seats were very comfortable, thanks to the improved cushion design. I highly recommend the 465 Fast Track!

I ordered my 465FT in February and finally got it out on some small lakes for a test trip. It inflates very easily, tracks beautifully, show more... and glides very well. We didn't go very fast this trip for physical reasons but I think it will do just fine. The Quick-Sail is ridiculously easy to use, although the winds were too light and shifting to really give it a work-out. My advice is to get the High-Pressure Pump with the gauge to take advantage of the drop-stitch floor. The regular pump works well within it's pressure limitation. We only tried the shallow skeg, but honestly, the boat couldn't have tracked any better with the deeper one. This was a significant purchase for me and I did a LOT of research before buying, so I am VERY relieved and happy that this is working out so well. I have big plans for this boat. I've named it "Mr. Badger", after my favorite "Wind in the Willows" character!

I finally have had enough time to play around with the 465FT to write a review that would be fair. In all honesty, this Kayak show more... performs like a pro. It does track extremely well while enjoying unmatched stability compared to rigid shells. I mainly use this in the St Laurence seaway which is very fast but no real rapids. I go out with a 4 and 6 year old and paddle mainly alone until they can pull their weight ( few more years). Even alone and in windy conditions I can get the Kayak to go where I want. I have yet to try it in peaceful lake waters but im afraid I may get bored from the ease it will handle.

We received the kayak 3 weeks ago and have taken it out a number of times on various reservoirs in the vicinity. The kayak is show more... easy to inflate and once in the water it is easy to maneuver, tracks very well and is very stable. We use it with two people and it has plenty of space to spare. It is very well built and appears very durable. We expect to have many years of fun with it. We are very happy with this kayak and highly recommend this one!

We purchased this boat after trying and returning the new all drop stitched Razor Lite tandem, which was just too unstable for us. We retained show more... the seats, since they were the same, and the carbon paddles, along with the stand-up style pump, which I prefer over the foot pump. The seat bases are too firm, so we bought small self inflating cushions, which helped a lot. We paddled this boat all up the eastern seaboard this summer, starting inland at a lake in Cincinnati, in many lakes along the way, and in Chesapeake Bay, up to Annapolis. When you look at the big round side tubes, you would get the idea that this thing is a glorified pool toy. Not so! We paddled around some good sized lakes and found it to track just fine. It's no speed demon, but you can make good progress in less than perfect conditions, and it's stable as a rock. It takes me about 15 minutes from the time I set the hull bag down until the boat is completely inflated with the seats installed. I know it can be done faster, but I don't care.

Our Sea Eagle FastTrack 465ft was delivered to us in May, 2016, on time and in perfect condition. We chose the 465ft so we could show more... carry a passenger (or two), which we did several times over the next few months. We joined a paddlers meetup group, met new friends and found popular kayaking sites in Idaho. Our Sea Eagle was looked upon with envy by many. At Redfish Lake, I gave a demo ride to an interested bystander. He probably owns a Sea Eagle by now. Inflation with the foot pump takes less than 100 strokes per bladder (3) but I use a car-powered electric pump to get near full and then top off with the foot pump. The inflatable keel and the removable skeg work great. In shallow rivers, I don't use the skeg. We've paddled in large and small rivers, lakes and reservoirs with no problem. The Class II rating seems accurate. Small rapids are fine. For now, our kayak sits in a corner of a bedroom closet, warm and cozy until spring or a trip to warmer climate. Good job, Sea Eagle!

I live in a large city where storage can sometimes be a challenge even in a house with a garage. Initially, I was looking at show more... a rigid kayak as the inflatable ones I saw locally had 3 areas of concern: Weight capacity, quality, and tracking. The 465 Fast Track meets and exceed all the concerns I was worried about. I get so many compliments about this boat and my set up. Easily accommodates 2 big guys like me with a 40 lb Marine battery in the middle. I have used it for one season and look forward to many more. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This 465 FastTrack is completely worth it. Bits of Advice - Get the inflatable cushions for more comfort. Get the Watersnake T24 motor for it, incredible power for such a small motor!! If you are looking at the 365 I really suggest just upsizing as you can always use the extra room. Lastly, get the BTP air pump. For those other Canadians out there, don't let any exchange rate shy you away, this FastTrack 465 is an amazing kayak!!

We originally purchased the 385ft and have used it for two years now. We purchased the 465ft as my husband decided he'd like to have show more... the bigger one for all day trips. We absolutely love it. It is strong, sturdy, handles beautifully and has never let us down even when the river is fast flowing. We've taken it out fishing on numerous occasions and both had plenty of room for casting. This year we are very excited to go kayaking. Not only did we get a sail for Christmas but we also got a dog. I've already bought him a vest and we can't wait to take him out in the 465! Thanks for the wonderful memories you are helping to create with your incredible kayaks. Attached is a photo on the Shenandoah River with our new 465ft

Great boat, easy to paddle and very stable plus easy to store. Added the fishing seat and the attachment for a trolling motor. Now I show more... can paddle or motor. And the company stands by their guarantee plus exceptional service.

The Sea Eagle 465 Kayak is a real pleasure. I paddle it in the Arabian Gulf offshore Saudi Arabia. It is light enough for easy show more... transport down the beach and big enough for my wife and I to both be comfortable. She often swims with a group and I paddle along as lifeguard. I enjoy standing up while paddling as it gives a good view of the wildlife in the water beneath me. The kayak is stable, tracks well and gives me confidence to paddle in choppy waves. The inflatable seat is far more comfortable than the black lighterstancdard sets.Tthe infaltable seats also keep you elevated and out of any wate that accumulates in the bottom of the boat. Sea Eagle customer service is fantastic as I received a quick positive reply to my Kayak issue. I defiantly recommend this Kayak for someone looking for a well made inflatable kayak for open water Don Williams.

Very happy with setup and tracking in the water. The 465ft could use twice as many rings to increase adjustabily.

I love my SeaEagle kayak! It's fast, roomy, easily maneuverable, built like a tank and couldn't be more comfortable. It stores in a small space show more... and fits in the back of my mini-SUV with lots of room to spare for our mountain bike and travel gear. And in my experience, and that of my friend who's had his SeaEagle for a year more than I've had mine, their customer service is as good as it gets! Kudos and thanks to SeaEagle :-)

We have enjoyed our Seaeagle Kayak immensely this Summer. Once we learned how to assemble it, we had no problems! It is durable comfortable easy show more... to transport and store. Being first time kayak owner's we feel we made the right decision with our purchase of the Seaeagle, and would highly recommend it to others! Can't wait for Summer to return and get back on the water. Thanks Seaeagle

The boat exceeded all expectations that we had. It’s incredibly stable, easy to maneuver and compact. A great addition to our collection of our SUPs show more... and 12.6 run-about. Sea eagles craftsmanship continues to impress.

Wow what a wonderful AWESOME boat. It's everything I expected. First I would like to thank my Seaeagle rep for being well informed and trained. show more... She was able to confidently answer all my questions. My criteria for a family flat water boat: -Customer Service after purchasing -Good Warrantee -Stable in water with wakes -Durable -Versatility of boat:1-3persons or more if small kids, -Used for lessiure and fishing. -Price - purchased this boat to be used primarily in flat water with my 4yr old who and my wife or additional kids/passengers. -It's very stable when large wakes roll by/under the boat from passing motor boats. -This boat is easily piloted by one person when alone or with two additional passengers whom are paddling or not paddling. -The boat tracks straight as designed with little effort. Great when it's just me and my boy and one or two of his friends. If they are playing in the water, jostling back & forth the boat maintains stability & tracks true while I'm paddling.

I just want to say that I LOVE my kayak. Honestly, I did have an issue with it where it started to develop leaks along show more... the hull's seam after using it lightly for approximately 4 years. I contacted SeaEagle, and they have treated me like a VIP customer. They have been wonderful. After I supplied them with a picture of the defective seam, they willfully sent me a replacement kayak. I am so pleased with my kayak, and the reputable company that manufactures it. I cannot say enough good things about them. Feel comfortable when you order one of their items that number one, it is a quality product, and number 2, they stand behind their products. Thank you SeaEagle!

We love our kayak. It is perfect for exploring and easy setup and easy storage in our RV. Would definitely buy it again.
