I received my new #SeaEagle385FTA on Wednesday took it out for the maiden paddle today, the new FTA paddled even better than the #SeaEagle385FTG, it cut through the water like a hot knife through butter. The FTA has thicker overall PVC as well as Crocodile EVA on the gunnels that provides more support and stability while standing and it feels a little more rigid while paddling. I already did a little add-on with the two #RamMountBondABaseMounts, with the #YakAttackG1754 to mount the #LowranceElite5HDI and #RamTranducerMountArm. I may add two more track mounts towards the rear if rear built-in rod holders interfere with the mounts on the crate time will tell. #SeaEagle for taking this FTA to the next level, and providing great customer service (Donna).

I’ve been in the market for a 2-person fishing kayak for a while. I wanted something that would work for 2 people but could also be conveniently handled by 1 person. I will either be going out by myself or with one of my kids and they are young enough that I would still be doing most of the heavy lifting. This kayak offers a wide range of options (motor, swivel seat, integrated rod holders, etc.) which combined with the ease of transport and storage make it worth the cost. Inflating the kayak was easy and took only a few minutes. My first trip out I was amazed at how stable the kayak was when I stood up and kneeled. The skeg and keel add an enormous amount of control in wind and strong currents. I had so much fun that I completely lost interest in fishing and spent a few hours paddling around enjoying the afternoon! Deflating and drying is also a trivial matter, especially with the Auto Dual Action Pump. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I'm looking forward to using this for years to come.

Boat as advertised. Good customer service. Three points preventing the fifth star: first, the pump. The nozzles on the pump sent as part of a package didn't seal. Sea Eagle kindly send a replacement, but there were nozzle issues there too. Net net I must use two pumps in order to inflate/deflate kayak. Or pay for yet another pump. Item two, carrying case: once unpacked, it's nearly impossible to get back into the case. Case has zero ergonomics- like a giant grocery bag. Was able to find a third party case from an outdoors store that worked. Item three: Would also like to be sent a friendly summary of set up demo web links, all on on sheet or email - or better - a sturdy color picture guide for all features, including water snake motor. With above points adressed would add a star to the rating.

We love the Sea Eagle FT 385 Angler. We switched from a tandem SOT kayak and no longer wanted to transport the old kayak on top of the car and thought the 385 FT A would be good for going together or solo and it has met our expectations and fulfilled our desires for a lightweight single or double that is rugged, durable, comfortable and easy to move and launch. It takes less than 10 minutes to manually inflate and we use a kayak cart to help with rolling the 385 to the launch point. This boat tracks straight and goes pretty fast. It has been very comfortable for some fishing trips to Lake Travis where we found sitting in the boat for 3 hours not to be a problem like the old hard bottom kayak. I was also happy to find I was able to easily handle the 385 on several solo trips with smart use of a standard kayak wheeled dolly and a bungee cord. I made several calls to customer service to ask pre purchase questions and I was well served and educated by the friendly staff. Thanks for a great boat.

Have used my seaeagle 385fta numerous times now and love how stable it is on the water. There is lots of floor space for gear when fishing or an extra passenger or two. The boat boat paddles easy and tracks good when calm. A bit harder to control with a wind on a lake but that is to be expected with how much of the boat is on top of the water. Easy to inflate or deflate. All the pieces do take up a fair bit of room but can still fit in the back of any car or SUV. The weight is ok for me but a little to heavy for my wife or daughter to lift and carry for any distance. The only things that could be better is if it was a bit lighter and cost less. Over all I am very pleased with this inflatable kayak and would recommend it to anyone.

I love my new 385fta .I bought it late fall and was able to enjoy the fall foliage here in N.J. . I gave up my traditional hard sit inside kayak for my new Inflatable for a couple of reasons. I am 6'1 240 lbs. My sit in was fine if I just wanted to paddle. Then I started fishing in it and it was tight. Years back I owned a Sea Eagle SE9 till my nephew took it over. Then one day I was starting to look for a new fishing/recreational kayak . The hard bodied ones were way to heavy for me to transport without a trailer. . Then I receive in the mail a Sea Eagle catalog. To make this long story shorter I purchased the 385fta. It is so comfortable glides through the water. Mainly lakes though I had it in the bay on calm days for fishing no problems. I can move around comfortably and safety. Throw my legs in the water. It is super stable. I love it. I can deflate it for long trips, our use my Hullavator for short trips. It is light enough to carry to shore withoutbreaking your back. Out of text. Or I would say more !

This kayak is awesome, I like to fish and my wife likes to get outside on the water and exercise so she paddles in back and I fish from the front, a match made in heaven! The 385fta fits in the trunk of our Honda Civic and sets up very quickly. The low profile, front keel and skeg make it easy to paddle and control in fast current and in windy conditions. It is so stable we have never felt unsafe whenever we were out on the water even with whitecaps coming over the bow. We put boat cushions under the seats to raise them up a few inches and it is very comfortable sitting for long periods. I added some rod holders in front and when going out solo I can move out of my seat to get to them and not feel like the boat will tip. The warranty and customer service are excellent! The crocodile padding started to delaminate and after sending in some pictures, Sea Eagle sent out a replacement before requiring us to return the old one both at no charge so we did not have to miss any time on the water!

Took this boat on a plane to Dominican Republic all inclusive resort... Had serious doubts with transportation, storage in the room... all turned to be as easy as it gets. For 7 days vacation took it out to Caribbean sea daily for fishing. Very stable. Handles well in rough surf and wind (by the time I was coming back trade wind would start). Caught tons of fish. I highly recommend this boat. BTW - I compared it to Hobies (paddle ones) the resort had - this boat outperformed hard shells. I have ocean kayak trident 13 which is little bit in a different league - this boat feels more stable! Also if you have spiny fish - EVA foam pads are superb protection... please remember that going back home by plane your kayak will likely weigh 1-2 lbs more than going in - because it will have little retained water / salt in the creases and EVA foam and humid environment - just plan ahead of time. Overall can not beat it.

For some time I thought of buying a fishing kayak before to be retired. But why not also to take advantage of it before without waiting? Thus I looked for an inflatable fishing Kayak also usable to make of the stroll and lower on quiet river and from the seaside. I look for a Swiss knife kayak! And the SeaEagle 385 FTA perfectly met my needs: configurable at the need and very evolutionary. At his reception, I was surprised very pleasantly by the quality of the product its robustness and its ease of inflating and folding. It is important to have an easily accessible tight box for keys and papers of the car, the camera, the phone and over, but also to store the life jacket, the repair kit, the skeg, the leachs, and all. I bought a box an Explore Cases 3818 GE who can put himself it of multiple places: the bow or the stern, between side chambers in the front or in the back, or as site riser.

I bought the 385FT fast track angler about 4 years ago ( the older version) and loved it, always performed great and very convenient. The seams started coming apart so I contacted Sea Eagle customer support. Even though the Kayak was out of its warranty period they replaced it with the new and improved 385FTA! I believe Sea Eagle has the best product and the best product support hands down. Looking forward to many more years paddling.

I finally got the slime on the new hull, SeaEagle has continued to make outstanding boats the performance of the #FastTrackAngler series are second to none #50Years and counting. I’m so proud to represent them on the 2019 #KBF and #CAKFG Trails in the upcoming season.

I like the boat. It is easy to set up. It is comfortable and move around effortlessly in calm water. Service rendered by the support staff is excellent, I got a new set of paddle almost immediately after I brought it up to their attention that the one sent to me do not fit nicely and it difficult to join it together. Thank you.

I like this boat a lot. Next purchase will be the aluminum frame fishing seat. As a fly fisherman I think that make fishing a little easier. I was surprised how easy it handled on a windy lake. I had a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 16 for years, stolen from me by Hurricane Ike, that I loved for fishing the Texas coast and I hate to say it but I think this is a better boat. I'm in Connecticut now mostly on nearby lakes or the Connecticut River so the comparison may not be fair - I don't know how this boat would handle confrontations with oysters but so far rocks are not a problem. It's tracking system and skeg gives it an edge up on sit-on-tops...even SOT's with rudders. It is lighter and more stable, the rigid floor being a great asset. I'm getting a little old for it now, but I'd love to have tried this boat on the Sandy River, OR from Slaughter Hole to Revenue Bridge.

Purchased this kayak last summer to keep in an apartment we have in Alexandria Va. Customer service was excellent, received shipment quickly and on date indicated it would arrive. Only had 3 opportunities to use it before cold weather set in. Twice fishing and once for some quite paddle time on a lake with my wife. I really like the kayak so far. It is very easy to handle, even on a windy day. I had no problem inflating it with a hand pump (maybe 10 minutes), but I will look to eventually get an electric pump as on a really hot day, even ten minutes on a hand pump gets you sweaty. I'm looking forward to this spring and getting out on the water to do a little fishing. I would definitely recommend your products and in fact already have.

Boat was great, but the seat I ordered, inflatatable, green has a different valve than my boat. Unable to inflate with the pump included with the boat. Not good when out camping and trying boat out for the first time. Boat does not paddle well when sitting in fishing seat, which is why I bought the inflatable seat. I was thrilled to get the boat, now am extremely disappointed in it.

The 385fta is one of the best investments I've ever made. I was going to say more, but this forum didn't allow me enough space.

I purchased my sea eagle to take on a trip to the Bahamas. The kayak easily was checked as luggage at 50.5 lbs. I went as far as 1 mile off shore to get on the other side of the reef. Although it took on water because of the waves, I never felt in danger. It handled very well even in some fairly large swells. I was very impressed with the quality of the materials. Even some pretty heavy use never felt like it was not going to hold up. My wife and I spent many hours exploring and never felt cramped. There was plenty of legroom. If I have one suggestion to make I would add some secondary way of securing fishing poles. The ends of my poles would not fit through the rod holders so I had to add a couple of straps to secure them horizontally. While in the Bahamas I received an email about inflatable paddle boards. I guess that will be my next Sea Eagle purchase. Thanks Sea Eagle, Dave

This is my forth version of the 385FastTrack, I started with the Classic and I've had every version of the FTA. Just to be up front I'm sponsored by SeaEagle, that being said I would not represent them if I didn't believe in their products and customer service. I fish the KBF Tour as well as a local Club Trail. I spend at least Two Hundred days of the year on the water in my FastTrackAngler from scouting and pre-fishing locations to competing in the actual tournaments. Having a platform that I can transport easy and it stays secure when I'm traveling relieves stress from it be tampered with if I had to trailer or top it. I've fished out of the FTA in various water types from large reservoir types of fisheries like KY Lake to Class III rapid rivers like the Flint River in GA it always takes me their and gets me back.

I have nothing but praise for my 385fta. Very quick and easy to go from storage bag to the water. Extremely stable in the water and easy to maneuver with oars or the trolling motor. It is so durable that I expect to use it for many years to come. The folks at Sea Eagle are great and processed and delivered my order with speed and accuracy. Thanks, Sea Eagle, for getting me off the banks and into the water!

I purchased my yak in spring of 2018. I am out 3 or 4 times a week, I live near both fresh and saltwater and utilize it on both. It tracks well, very stable, extremely quiet and quite comfortable. There are days when I am out 7 or 8 hours at a time. I had an issue in the winter 18/19 that I noticed one of the seams separating and was concerned. I contacted customer service and I was shocked. Usually people in the industry are pretty nice. They set the bar at a whole new level with their concern and solution. Within the week I had a new yak at my front door. In the back of my mind I was concerned it could happen again. After a summer of fishing even more than the last, I have had no issues since. I highly recommend a sea eagle. Compact, sturdy, and light. I can pull into a spot and go from getting out of car to on the water fishing in 20 minutes or less. That is a loaded yak with the swivel seat, gear, etc. super simple to setup and take down that it becomes 2nd nature. 1000% would buy it again!

I cannot say enough good things about my 385FTA. It is super stable, tracks like it is on rails, very comfortable and has ample space for two paddlers. Assembly and inflation is simple and straightforward. Plenty of space for fishing gear, food and beverages. We travel extensively, 2-4 months at a time. I purchased it primarily to take along while traveling but I like the boat so much I wound up selling my other kayaks. No need for anything else.

Love this inflatable!! My wife loves it I think even more than me! After our first float she wanted to buy another for friends to join us out on the water. Still might buy another. Super easy to inflate and tracks really straight. Really sturdy on the water and the seats are really comfortable. The only thing I wish was different would be the option to not have the white lettering on the sides. I really like the green and black but wish it did not have the lettering. Other than that, this is a high quality boat and we love using it!
