375fc FoldCat™ Inflatable Boat Reviews

UWe love our boat. After shopping extensively, we chose the fold cat over all others. It fits our 5th wheel RVing style and fishing style show more... perfectly. Easy to set up and take down and light enough and mobile enough for retirees like us to handle easily. That was a priority for us. Bought it online. Have had "0" issues from start to finish. Have landed tons of fish. Here's a couple of pics for your enjoyment.

I bought this boat along with my brother in law. We've gone lake fishing for trout for the past 3 years. We enjoy the portability show more... of the boat (instead of inflating it everytime we go fishing, we do it once in the spring and periodically check the pressure. We have small suv's with roof racks, we can easily manoeuver the boat onto the roof and secure it with fasteners. This is quite practical since we only have to untie it once we arrive at the lake and put it in the water. The only issues we have is with the oare system and the elevated seat supports. The oars have to be positionned in their brackets and they tend to get in the way when fishing, expecially fly fishing. We designed a system to attach them to the top of the pontoons, while better that the brackets, they are still in the way. As for the elevated seat supports, some of the screws that hold the top plate came off and gave me a nice tumble off the seat! We secured it with new srews. I will continue buying SE products.

After using my pontoon for fishing for two years now, I am very happy with the performance. The hulls are very well made and withstand show more... normal abuse launching and retrieving. The seats are sturdy and comfortable. I do wish there was some type of floor as it can be tricky moving about when stepping among the slats. I use the 30# electric trolling motor and it is plenty powerful. Switching to a small gas motor is my next step, as I would like more range. Overall the quality of the boat, aluminum pieces, rod mounts, etc. is very substantial and I doubt I could ever wear this boat out. I did experience a very rough water ride with a large man in the front seat, me in the rear on a lake full of high powered boats zooming about. We encountered several large wakes, which the boat handled most excellently. Only casualty was a spilled beverage.

My FoldCat is a very nice fishing platform. Light enough to be loaded into my pickup, to be assembled at a lake and to be show more... maneuvered on our state's small lakes - even for me in my late 70's. Equipped with an electric trolling motor for the days when wind is a problem when rowing, this boat gets me to where I wish to be. The lack of fish in the boat should not be a reflection of the boat's worth. I have had this boat for about 5 years, and at the end of the first season, when exiting a lake at a very rough, rocky boat landing, one pontoon was abraided badly. The patching material supplied with the boat was applied and has held since that time. A very good investment.

I wasn't sure what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised how well it was build. I felt secure while using it.

pros cant beat the convenience, doesn't take up too much room, perfect for a SUV or hatchback the green color is so cool and blends show more... I left mine inflated and threw it on top of tonneau cover on pickup this allowed me to go solo AND save a lot of time I also modified it by putting on a removable plywood deck, covered by camo green boat vinyl florring rear swivel boat seat, electric motor and front seat/storage bin and rod holder! perfect for a day float or even a float and camp very comfy!!!!! everyone flips out when they see me go by very stable, you can sit on the deck and dangle legs in water you can sit right in front between pontoons and crab your way thru low water very well built, no malfunctions in two seasons cons as with any inflatable very subjective to wind recommend the highest power electric motor possible does not maneuver well........comes with the territory with type of boat

I bought this boat for my son and his son. They love it. They then purchased a used electric Minn-Kota and battery and have been show more... fishing and fishing and fishing. This boat is the best gift they have ever received. His words not mine. They named the boat "Willard" for my favorite uncle.

THIS IS MY SECOND FOLD CAT. IT REALLY FILLS MY NEED. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE WITH THE SECOND BOAT IS IT DID NOT COME show more... WITH POLE HOLDER MOUNTS . I HAVE THE POE HOLDERS BUT EXPECTED THE MOUNTS TO BE INSTALLED AS THEY WERE WITH MY FIRST BOAT AND DID NOT KEEP THE TWO II NEED. CAN I OBTAIN THEM? I HAVE PROBABLY SOLD MORE THAN A DOZEN OF THIS BOAT FOR YOU BY SHOWING THE BOAT AND TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT IT. IT IS A GREAT LITTLE BOAT THAT YOU CAN TAKE PLACES WITHOUT A TRAILER. I AM ABLE TO PUT IT IN A SLIP AT THE MARINA I USE DURING THE SUMMER, THEN PUT IT IN STORAGE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS WHILE WE OUR AT OUR HOME IN ARIZONA (WE HAVE AN INBOARD/OUTBOARD IN AZ). Frank, thank you for your review. Be sure to check your email as we've contacted you to resolve this issue (01/13/16). Although you purchase your FoldCat™ back in 2014, let's see if we can remedy your issue together.

Purchased my 375fc (fishing package) in June 2016 wanting to float tame rivers and maybe some lakes. It's been great! Setup: first time setup takes show more... some time, but it's well worth it as it makes the setup and breakdown each time a snap. The only issue I found was the mounting holes for the oar towers were spaced incorrectly on one side. Easily rectified by drilling a new hole. Not a biggie. I got the Turbo Inflator which is great for quickly getting the boat to 95% inflated. I use the foot pump to top it off. First time setup for river: I timed myself and it took 19 minutes from parking the truck to getting the boat in the water. That's pretty awesome. I probably stay in that general timeframe now, though it fluctuates depending on how I'm rigging....i.e. with the standing bar, how many seats, etc. Breakdown: breakdown is very fast and simple. I recommend using a tarp during breakdown to avoid as much grime when rolling it up. On the water: very easy to oar and very nimble.

Purchased boat in 2013 for use in lakes fishing for Trout. As a 75 year old with typical "old age limitations" I needed something I show more... could handle without a lot of help. This is it ! As I always fish with my sons I have help and usually end up fishing while one of them drives. The skags are an absolute need for one man operation. I love this boat and would recommend it to anyone.

HAVE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE COME AND ASK ABOUT IT AND LIKE IT ALSO. ONCE YOU LEARN HOW TO SET IT UP A COUPLE OF TIMES IT IS A BREEZE TO SET IT UP AND BE IN THE LAKE FIHING IN NO TIME FLAT.

I got my 375fc in 2009 and love it. I haul it in the back of my Ram pickup. Loading and unloading is fairly easily show more... done alone. I had one small leak on the top of a pontoon that I suspect was caused by a snagged lure that came flying back at me. Just a dab of the glue that came with the boat fixed it. At 6'4" and 230lbs., I've found it to be very stable. I've always fished alone and I imagine that the boat would be crowded with a second person. I have a Humminbird 570 with the transducer mounted to the bottom of my Minn Kota Endura 45. Until my old battery got old and needed to be replaced, I was able to easily spend 5-7 hrs. fishing without any noticeable loss of power. I've gotten lots of compliments on it. I plan on adding a plywood deck this spring to give me more flexibility in laying out my tackle and supplies.

really love the boat, only 1 draw back, I purchased riser for both seats, and my hands were hitting my knees with the oars, so show more... I cut a 4x4 block of wood to raise the height of the end of the oars, worked perfect, I do mostly floating of rivers, also probably never take it down to fold it I haul it on a trailer, any ideas what I can fill in the gaps between the aluminum? would be easier for my lab to go with us

This boat has been awesome. It was the perfect way for my wife and I to get started into fishing. We used it just about show more... every weekend during the last summer. It was so easy to just throw it into the SUV and go. No headaches simple and easy. So many people at the various lakes were amazed. We bought a trolling motor to power it and I tricked it out with a custom deck to overlay on top as well as some unique rod holders. It has a fish finder onboard too as well as an anchor system. It is perfect for smaller lakes. Overall it is extremely sturdy but some parts have broken. Two of the buckles on the main cover broke and fell off. We just tie the ends of the black straps together to make do. Also the foot pump has come loose so the air gets out of the side when we use it. If I can get a replacement for these it would be great. Anyway it has been worth every penny. If you want to try fishing out on a lake this is a perfect way to do it. No trailer needed which is a huge benefit. It is solid and stable.

David we have contacted you via email to resolve both issues. Please check you inbox. There are adjustment screws at the front of your foot pump under the black caps. Just lift the end of the black cap opposite of the visible screw post enough to expose the screw's Philips head and tighten the retaining band and this will prevent the bellow skirts from coming loose. Then just reseat the black cap and you should be good to go!

The Sea Eagle Fold Cat is great.The only complaint is that it had a hole in the right pontoon right out of the box.I fixed show more... it with the supplied repair kit and it holds air now,but I should not have to fix a brand new boat.

It's an incredible boat. I fish the Florida Peace River all winter season. Very stable and easy to carry with my car. I highly recommend show more... it. Tanks Sea Eagle for all good fishing time.

Purchased boat in 2013 for Trout fishing in lakes/rivers in western NC. It has been everything I expected but let me make a couple of show more... observations. The heading control in any kind of wind is full time and boat is almost more then one man can handle. I added the Skags but did not see much improvement. I also purchased the 12v pump which I advise every owner to do. I am now 78 years old with some health problems so the boat is now the proud possession of my Son. He can do it alone also. One of the fishing spots we use is below a power dam (Fontana) and full of big sharp rocks which we have hit most of with NO damage to boat. I would recommend this boat to anyone. Thanks for the years of fun this rig has provided me.

I want to start to say thank you to Sea Eagle for that marvelous boat. We Just received it last week and we had our show more... first floats with our 375FC this week end. my son and I love it. Where we were, it is power boat land, and kind of red neck country. So the thinking here is more like : "if you have a small boat, it is your choice and I will not slow down" so having to face 1 to 2' waves is to be expected. The boat performed awesomely and rowing it was a breeze. We will be looking at adding the Skegs as the boat doesn't track and can be difficult to get going where you want in a windy day. We had 2 awesome days on that boat and will be expecting more to come. The trolling motor will be the next add-on. It looks like we are on the go for a new love story. Eric and the Family.

Just bought our Foldcat direct from SeaEagle in mid August, 2017, the Pro-Angler package, with a few added accessories. Shipment arrived as expected and in show more... good order. Did a setup in our garage to get an initial understanding of the assembly, inflation and deflation process. A few days later performed the real setup and maiden launch of the boat on a nearby lake. I paired the boat with a 2017 Yamaha 2.5hp 4 stroke motor. Both the boat and motor were great. The boat felt quite stable, certainly as good as the 10' jon boat I previously owned. Found the swivel seats very comfortable, enjoyed sitting higher up on the craft. Bought the 7" riser for the front seat as well and my wife enjoyed the setup. While she was initially concerned that the boat did not have sides, she actually felt quite comfortable on board as we toured the lake . We will do a Sept. fishing trip to give the Cat a full test, however do not foresee our initial positive opinion of this boat changing.

I'll admit it does take some time to assemble and at 75pounds it's not easy to lug around either. But the 375fc can go anywhere show more... you want it to go. It does get into tight places where other boats can't and is very stable. The pontoon material is very durable and had no problem bumping into fallen trees and branches. And it's quiet. Not like aluminum or wooden boats where moving around causes noise and frightens fish away. I also enjoy the seat arrangement. They are high enough where casting is a breeze. Unlike squatting in some boats, you have the freedom to sit up high or stand to cast. If you choose to use either of the recommended air compressors just be aware it's going to be noisy. You may want to wear earplugs or make a muffled box for them. But all in all I am satisfied with the boat. I carry it in my cargo van and can have it ready to go at a moments notice. It's the all around solution for getting out on the lake for me and my buddy.

Love my Seaeagle! I particularly enjoy the ability to silently glide across high mountain lakes and watch the various wildlife without scaring them off. It show more... is the perfect platform for all types of fishing whether it be fly or spinning. I had a problem with one of the tubes of the carry cart bending and customer service immediately sent me another one. Really appreciate that. When the time comes, I will definitely purchase another, and my son and grandson are getting close!
