size is made with 4" drop stitch material and is ideal for ladies and medium size men who looking for a lighter board that has all of the wave piercing characteristics
of the NeedleNose™ design, but is more compact, lighter in weight and easier to carry. The larger 12'4" model is made with 6" drop stitch
material which makes it more rigid and actually faster to paddle because of the length to width ratio. It is somewhat bulkier and somewhat heavier, but still by far a
featherweight in its class when compared to many fiberglass SUPs.
Ultra Strong Drop Stitch Construction
The Sea Eagle NeedleNose™ uses Drop Stitch construction,
which allows a much higher air pressure than other inflatable technologies.
Thousands of tiny threads connect the top and bottom layers of the board.
This means the board can hold 15 pounds of air pressure, more than double the
working pressure of other technologies. When you're out on the water, this means
the NeedleNose™ will turn, cut and perform like a fiberglass board, even though it
packs up in a bag.
