Well once u have the sea eagle set up it fishes great however I am disappointed with the skeg . I load the kayak in my truck and can’t the slide the skeg on because of the concern of bagging it around and putting the kayaks weight on it . Once I get to the water it’s tricky putting it on and then unloading the kayak . Once I’m done fishing then I have to maneuver and try to slide the skeg off to load the kayak in my truck . U can’t use the kayak without the skeg... it won’t track. I also knew before buying that it’s heavy and it certainly is . I’m an older guy but in decent shape .... difficult even with the trailer wheels I bought for it . This kayak wasn’t for me unfortunately but I’ll be doing some traveling and will continue to hang in there with it . Also to pack it , it deflates slowly in order to roll up.

We are ever so happy with this boat! Heavy duty and all of us have stood in it without any problem. Easy to blow up using the hand pump, no need to bother getting the electric one, we bought it and never used it. We are out of the car and in the water in about 20 minutes. We did purchase the swivel seat (high back seats are what we have and like the built in pockets on the back of those too) but it isn't a favorite for a couple reasons, takes too long to do it and makes you feel less stable.

My fisherman wishes the pole holders were able to be attached to the boat without the swivel seat but uses the holders in front and they are okay.

I have had my Sea Eagle 385fta for close to a year now. I have used it a few times and so far it has held up well. I have used it in both large river float fishing situations and on the tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. I have the complete full angler package with the sit on top seat and trolling motor. I highly recommend this package. The kayak is easy to move around with the trolling motor but when using the paddle the kayak moves slow. Also buy the cart that they sell separate for it. You will need it to move it around! The kayak seems to be made of very durable material that I am hoping holds up well. I chose this particular kayak because of its fish ability functions and I like the fact that I can fold it up so it fits in a large duffle bag and stick it in the closet of my basement. I live in a townhouse with no garage so this kayak's easily storing design is very ideal. All and all I would recommend this product.

I bought my SE 385fta in late March and as of today (late October), I've taken the kayak out 21 times this year (both rivers and lakes). Storage, ease of transport, durability, and cost were the most important factors for me and this model hits the mark. I bought this to get me and my kids to where the fish are and it does just that. Me and my two young sons can all fit and fish from this boat. It takes about 5 minutes to inflate/deflate and fits easily in the rear cargo bay of my 4Runner. I've added Scotty mounts for fish finder and anchor trolley. It's very stable and we've caught about 85 fish this summer out of the kayak (LM & SM Bass, Crappie, Bluegill). I'm very happy with how the boat has held up - no problem with rocky river bottoms, timber, etc. Highly recommend it if easy storage and transport is important to you.
