I bought it because of limited storage space in the camper and good reviews. Gives me the ability to take a kayak where I would normally leave a hard shell at home. Flexibility of one or two configuration is huge. My wife went with me once and then didn't go after that. Works great as a solo. The boat paddles and tracks better than expected. Set up and take down, especially folding and putting back in the bag is more difficult than expected but I expect will improve with more use. Overall I'm very pleased.

I have loved kayaking this summer in my SeaEagle 385! I’m 74 years old and found it to be very stable and maneuvered beautifully.

It was lightweight enough and easily stored in the trunk of my car. I was able to explore new kayaking spots because I could take it anywhere.

There is plenty of room for storage on the kayak. I was able to bring a beach chair, side table, and good sized cooler with room to spare. I enjoyed kayaking to secluded beaches!

If I found anything to improve it would be the carrier bag. The carrying handles are not placed where they make carrying easy.

This is a very versatile boat. It's light enough to carry by one person, but quite sturdy. I've used it as both a one and two person kayak. It does well either way, though adding extra D-rings makes the single seat placement a little better. Mostly used it in medium sized rivers and smaller lakes. Took it out in Cape Cod Bay with some waves, the drain holes did what they were supposed to.

i purchased the 385ft prior to having knee surgery. I am 81 and my wife is just a few years younger. We have been been kayakers for over 2 decades. We have a kayak trailer and 5 kayaks. During covid lockdown, they provided a great way to safely meet have fun with friends. We half seriously referred to it as a ministry - getting people out in nature at that trying time.

The open design of the 385 ft enabled me to resume kayaking 2 months after the surgery, It would be very difficult for me to enter and exit my sit-in kayak. My wife and I also have shoulder problems (did I already say I was old). Being in a tandem kayak lets us take turns paddling.

It tracks well and moves through the water easily. Being able to deflate it makes it easier to travel with (no loading and unloading from the roof of our minivan). I researched kayak options for months before buying the 385 ft. We are very happy with it.
