Super-fast self-bailing with 16 floor drains that can be left open for wet whitewater and ocean kayaking or closed for high and dry flat-water paddling.

4.6 out of 5 stars. (166)My husband and I (age 60ish) have taken our new kayak out on a local lake twice now. The keel helps to propel the boat into the water easily, but we will need the shorter keel if we take it to shallower river water. It is easy to set up and take down and very stable in the water. We have found that we do need to turn it over and allow it to dry well before folding it back up for storage. The towel does not sop up water that get's trapped in little nooks. We did get the manual standing pump with it but after using it once, we decided to make a separate purchase for the battery operated pump - it makes life easier. One other suggestion. Plan on purchasing a kayak cart as the kayak alone weighs 40 lbs. Once you add seats, paddles, life jackets, water, food, etc. for easy transport, it gets heavier. With a good cart, one person can move the kayak on their own. We are looking forward to new adventures with our 380x this summer. Teri - Evergreen, CO
Great inflatable glides through water like a hard shell kayak. Extremely well made should last many years with proper care
We have only used it on calm water and it tracks very well. My husband and I have always had our own kayaks, but as we are getting older we decided to get a two passenger inflatable kayak. Still getting our paddling in sync but are enjoying this kayak.I is very stable and easy for us old folks to get in and out of. We are very happy with it.
We enjoyed the boat(my wife and I).The easy of travel with the small footprint , weight, and the quick assembly. We have many admirers and questions,which we recommend your sea eagle boats. The only issues was a scrap on the bottom which is cosmetic, I have tried to fix but but I am have a problem. Do you have any suggestions how to do a repair it. Anyway still love the Sea eagle 380X.

16 Rapid Self - Bailing Easy To Open & Shut Drain Valves
When the 16 rapid self-bailing drain valves are open, you are sure to drain off water as quickly as it enters! With the drain valves closed you are certain to remain high and dry when paddling on flat waters such as lakes, bays and other bodies of water.
Modular Rigid Drop Stitch Floor Provides Double Protection
The unique modular design of the Sea Eagle Explorer™ features a super rigid, high pressure, drop stitch floor that sits on top of an outside floor. This has several advantages. The high-pressure DS floor provides great rigidity and super responsive paddling performance. The reinforced outside fabric floor provides a double layer of added protection so it can bounce off rocks, logs, and other objects. The modular design allows the DS floor to be easily removed for quick and thorough cleaning.
Large Removable Rear Center Skeg
A nice feature of this design is that the skeg can be removed with the Explorer inflated or deflated. Simply remove it for whitewater and skinny water adventures (eliminating it as an obstruction)and replace it for flat water to reduce yawing (swinging to the right or left). This increases track-ability during long flat-water touring, maximizing efficiency.
