Overall I like the boat. The performance has worked. Easy to carry to the marsh, maneuvers in the saltwater marsh with trolling motor to get to the flounder, reds, and trout. Only problem that has developed is a slow leak that I have not found. Also I was disappointed that one of the oar post was too short to mount the oar. Eventually I was able to get a replacement oar post under warranty.

I have to say overall I love the boat. It’s comfortable sturdy stable I just wished you guys made a Keel for it so that it could track straight. Great boat

Quality is supurb , customer service was easy to work with. Since I don't have truck or trailer I live the fact that boat and all equipment fits in the trunk of my car. I got the minkota trolling motor for use on bigger lakes and it also makes me feel comfortable and secure using my boat on the local river.

I've owned lots of boats, THIS is the one that works for me! This is a fish catching machine. Light weight, strong and tough! Standing, or sitting it works. I don't have to take anyone either! I love my 285fpb. The absolute best, I'm keeping this one. I have the watersnake electric motor, works wonderful even in current. I'm 6'5" weigh 240 and it fits!

I really like this boat use it fairly often for fishing local lakes. I do not use a motor, I use the oars only. It is very stable and comfortable and the swivel seat make fishing easier. Due to the shape of boat, it takes some effort to get around with just oars, but I only fish lakes where I don't need to go far distances. My only complaint is that I have some difficulty inserting the floor board/deck when inflating, and my fingers get pretty sore by time I get the board under the rubber grips. One other minor thing is that it could really use a cleat to tie a dock line or anchor line. Otherwise the boat is great.

Love my 285fpb and my grandson too. Easy to use and very comfortable. Gets you into places that other bigger boats can’t. Looking forward to the spring to start fishing again on the Albemarle Sound, NC. Looking at buying another one for my grandson. Well built and safe. Highly recommend for those who love to fish. You can take it anywhere.

Love the boat. 2 recommendations though. Include a dual action hand pump instead of the foot pump! I had to purchase one from West Marine for $ 25 ! It's difficult to row when trying to do so with the rower facing the stern! Can't feather the show full review ▼ oars! Maybe include oar locks.

oars! Maybe include oar locks.

The boat is not easily rowed. It is also very sensitive to wind.

The boat could be a little wider and the trolling motor should be sit off center be make it easier to steer
