Love the 385ft. Packs into a small portable bag. Once inflated, the boat fits a ton of gear or two people and gear. Picture above is with our new J-2 Bixpy Jet Motor. Fantastic combo!! the boat is rigid enough to give us really good speed and super stable. Built in fin box makes motorizing the boat a snap with the Bixpy SUP adapters. Thanks Sea Eagle!!

First impressions unboxing. I splurged and got the pro series for the nicer paddles and seats. The paddles don’t click together and have an asymmetrical bar, which I don’t know if that’s a “thing” but it’s a surprise. Obviously the bigger problems is the paddle not clicking in and locking into one half of the bar. The other thing I want to warn buyers about - If your looking at thing bag and thinking “that looks pretty useless”...it is... Hopefully when I get back to where I keep my <$300 inflatable SUP I can use that bag for this, that bag has a thick rubber mesh and actually shoulder straps. I can’t even use these straps to through this on my back, and otherwise this bag is a glorified tarp with straps. One inflated the kayak is very easy to carry for one person though. Hopefully I’m able to work something out with their customer support for the paddles, their reputation (for quality and customer service) is a main reason I chose this over others.

First of all I can't tell you how much I enjoy this kayak. When I started looking for a kayak, at age 65, I needed something that I could manage, move around, with just me and my wife. The Sea Eagle 385 FastTrak, all bundled up, it's about 35 lb. We travel with a small teardrop trailer so I needed something compact and most of all I wanted something with me wherever I went.

The next thing I looked for was durability, again at age 65 I didn't want to have to swim across the lake because my inflatable ruptured. I didn't want to pool toy, I didn't want something cheap that I'd have to replace next summer. The fast-track 385 has a custom front keel that really keeps your boat going straight so all the energy you put into each stroke goes forward instead of left and right. Ordered SE330 Sport first which I enjoyed for 3yrs.Ordered the 385 in 2020 during pandemic and received in late fall after they

were back in stock. Got to use it 4 times before weather here in central NY turned too cold.Have used it just once this spring.

The boat is very stable, I haven’t stood up in it but I know I can. It moves along the water great and the cross stitch floor is solid and does not sag or bend. We’ve taken it out mostly in the Newport Harbor in California and Mission Bay. The set up is quick with the foot pump. It would be nice if the attachments were removable since they kind of get in the way of connecting and disconnecting the pump. I cut my finger twice until I got used to it. The carbon fiber paddles make a big difference in weight and hand comfort. The bag is too wide for putting on your back and hard to fit everything so we use a large duffle bag for the gear. It works great because we take the duffle in the boat and put everything in it so I can carry it and it makes the kayak light enough for my wife to help carry from the water. You should take the drop stitch bottom out of the kayak when drying it out or it won’t fully dry out, but it’s very easy to do.

I would definitely buy another one and my son is considering one.

This boat does everything I wanted it to do -- and have loved paddling on the calming near shore waters of the San Francisco Bay. It's sturdy, stable, easy to set up and pack up. My husband and I have loved how much freedom there is to explore the bay. The only reason this boat is a 4 rather than a 5 is the poor quality of the inflation hose. It's brittle, and we've had to replace it after just two months of use. SeaEagle happily replaced the hose, but it's with the same type.

I bought the 385FT after borrowing my parent's for years. Even in the middle of the pandemic the shipping was as advertised and everything arrived as expected. Super fun boat for myself and my dog, or a friend. The quality still seems great and the new weed less skeg shape has been a lifesaver!

Great boat. We really enjoy it. Great for taking on RV trips where storage room can be an issue.

Neither my husband nor I am in love with our 385FT kayak. Maybe we haven't given it enough of a chance yet and maybe it is hard to compete with our old Aire Sea Tiger which is so easy to navigate and glide along in. We purchased the 385FT because of it's smaller size and weight and its ability to be used solo or tandem. We wanted an inflatable which would fold into a smaller package and the 385FT certainly does that. As we are now in our mid 70s, we wanted a kayak which weighed less and the 385FT certainly does that too. The 385FT is about 3/5th the weight of the Sea Tiger. I can carry it by myself. I haven't paddled solo in the 385FT yet.We purchased the tall black seats. They are very comfortable and we like sitting low in the kayak. However they are bulky to pack--the backs are rigid and stick out. Last, one of our paddles is unusable. I called and emailed Sea Eagle but never received a replacement. We have other paddles but if you don't, be aware, customer service could be better.
