IT Manager / Developer

A four year technical degree and at least two years of real world experience are required. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical skill set as well as a common-sense understanding of business.

Core skills required are:

• Super-sharp SQL query writing skills for complex report writing and data access tasks. (if you're using a report designer to write your queries, this isn't for you)
SQL Server administration fundamentals
• C# web development on .net 4.0
• Data Access using old fashioned stored proc as well as ORMs such as Linq
• 3 tier object oriented development
• HTML/CSS (basic design sense a plus)
• Unit testing with NUnit, MS Test or similar framework
• Basic hardware competence
  

Additional skills desired

• MS Reporting Services (will train if needed)
• MS Sql Server Integration Services
• Basic VMWare administration
• jQuery
• MVC experience a plus
• Basic image management skills (resize, optimize, etc..)

Daily responsibilities will be:

• tuning and improving internal applications and external facing websites
• Improving and developing SSRS Reports
• Generating mailing lists with SSIS Packages
• General database maintenance on SQL Server and other SQL platforms
• Triage of any hardware/software problems that might develop
• User account maintenance
• Manage daily backups (and be familiar with restore/business continuity plans)

Candidate must be willing to work full time locally, and be prepared to stay for several years and grow with the company
